How was the weekend? Let’s see the pics!

Almost all of our pics are on Stacys phone because I was driving the boat.. lol

On Thursday I did quite a bit of work down at the building and on Friday I had to move all the stuff for the open house at the development.. Sunday we went boating.. I didn’t get out of bed until 5pm on Monday and was a total lazy piece of shit. Lol.

Monday night went to an awesome little party up @BN house. His house overlooks the island so it was a spectacular spot to watch the fireworks. Hung out with @Tommygun most the night which was nice and @SFV2RVR

Made a huge mistake by agreeing to work today. Left Havasu yesterday afternoon and came home to Huntington Beach right before sunset. First time I've been home in probably 7 years for the 4th. Holy Fucking Shit. It was like World War III here until just before midnight. I'll never make that mistake again. 4 hours straight of non-stop explosives is just Nutz!!! You wouldn't know were in a recession. Some people have serious money to burn.

Mead was too windy, we went back OC and hung out at the HB pier. Which was great….except that I started playing pickup 2 man volleyball with a bunch of high school kids. For 2-3 hrs. At my age, I am sore AF today. Feels great but hurts everywhere.

In other news, this is the first 4th of July in about 50 years where I didn’t light a single firework.


HB Pier on 4th is a lot like the channel except that all the amplifiers and speakers are all playing the same song all at once (live bands)

We stayed at the beach. Kept boat in the water all weekend. Did a few runs taking neighbors and neighbors kids that have never been in an Offshore boat before out. Hung out on buddies new-to-him 40' Carver a bit. Did Golf cart 4th parade in our neighborhood then went out to the Islands yesterday. Good mellow family weekend. Hung out with @Bigbore500r Jerry a bit on Saturday. Great weekend.

Made dinner for my daughter and her boyfriend last night and played cards way too late.

Had 20+ people on Monday over for a bbq. We smoked 4 tri tips and a potluck.

Solo weekend for the first time in forever. Wife went to Nashville to visit my oldest. The other 2 kids had plans so i shot back to Havasu. It reminded me of our first summer in Atl when the wife/kids went to visit the family in so cal. Thought it was gonna be awesome. Kinda ok at the beginning but mostly sucked.

Cruised down to the channel Sunday and Monday. Hit the dog park and then walked the channel.

Spent the evenings hanging in the spa. 100 degrees outside and 99 in.

Rearranged some stuff around in the garage/storage. Ran the SXS’s and topped off the batteries on everything. Revived an old thread and started to add garage door insulation to the storage unit.

Dinner at The Chair. (Not Blue Chair anymore, thanks Kenny Chesney). Not my Marg. That thing is huge. Red Bull can for reference

I was in SD & OC most of last week for work, came home mid weekend, and stuck around the house once back. Had fun getting to go to Duke's again, see some old friends, and have a couple work meetings at a pretty awesome club in Corona del Mar. I should have stayed through today but didn't really think about it at the time. I was told that the fireworks view from this place (The Brigantine..great food btw) is awesome. Maybe we'll do that next year. Cave creek was very quiet last night, and I'm not complaining at all.

Same here. We have had people over for the last 6-7 years because we can have fireworks here. Last Saturday, I picked up my daughter from camp and she’s stuffy and coughing. Test her twice, positive. I start sneezing and fatigued on Monday. My cautious wife cancels so people can make other plans.
Was a bummer.

The weather only cooperated for boating on Saturday. Didn't take too many pics.
Had a great day on the lake with the kids, granddaughter, and friends.

Sunday was rainy so we spent the morning on the horses.

Still raining, Monday was pretty chill, took the old Teryx up top of the hill overlooking all of CDA to watch the crazies set off fireworks.
