2000 Howard 26 Cat Open Bow
It's incredible boat. It has a usable open bow and is family friendly.
Last year we went through the whole boat.
Completely rebuilt engine (fuel injected 540)
Approx. 23 hours on it
All New interior with more storage
New high speed bimini top
New Sunbrella boat cover
New powder coated hardware
New stereo
New depth gauge
New Imco fuel sending units
Imco fuel switch
Imco SC drive
Imco hydraulic steering
Aeromotive fuel system
Bluewater mechanical drive indicator
Dual sealed batteries with Perko switch
Silent Choice switchable mufflers
Billet swim step that spans the whole transom with retractable ladder
Installed USB ports in both helms
Triple axle trailer with newer tires (2 years old)
The engine started life as a Mercury Racing 500EFI.
It now has a forged Eagle 540 rotating assembly

Custom ground roller cam spec'd by Bob at Marine Kinetics
LS firing order
New roller lifters and pushrods
New timing set
New AFR aluminum marine heads with inconel valves
The final assembly was completed and rigged by Joe Baca at Pfaff Engines
The engine was broken in and tuned on the dyno
Final tuning was done by Joe on the water aswell
It is set up very conservatively to run on 87 octane
It made 635hp and 730tq
Very docile and built to be reliable
Spins a 28" Bravo One prop and planes easily.
This is a family boat that can run up to 80 plus if you choose to
It cruises at 50mph at 3500rpm and that is where is lives with me driving
