Howard Bullet with an Outboard!?

Saw this in the speed on the water article about the Toys for Tots run on the St. John’s River. Fun event, I usually go but couldn’t this year.

I feel like I’ve seen this Bullet before...anyone know anything about it?

I think I remember this being a retrofit. I’ll dig to see if that’s the boat I’m thinking of. Something like it was a junk hull that someone bought..

Found it! Looks like the boat was bought as a salvage that sank. Maybe had a pfaff blower motor. Sold on eBay.

Guy bought it, fixed the fiberglass and interior and put outboards on it. No idea how it runs. From the looks of it, guessing the guy is somewhere in FL hence outboards.

St Johns is in Florida. Runs from Orlando area to Jacksonville. One of the very few rivers that flows South to North in the northern hemisphere

If it was on the St. John's river as mentioned, it's in Jacksonville. Vegas pix are probably when he hauled it east. The pic below Vegas is FL coast line in the background.

Outboards make a lotta sense for a saltwater boat. Looks pretty damned cool and hopefully will give some builders ideas.
