or paint the maximum allowable occupancy on them.. also paint dont touch "FIRE" is HOT...

The city has been closing the fire pits Off and on for a few years now. Nothing new.


And never once have they buried them in sand! Why even try and justify it?

Did you read what you linked? That’s not removing and reducing fire pits, it’s about reducing liability if people get hurt there.

Wait until you see the costs associated with the manual labor required to remove the sand from all those fire pits and skate parks along the beaches...... Absurd.

With local governments counting their pennies to cover costs, maybe it's time to put non-violent criminals and those on the "Dole" to good use in work crews.
You don't show up and work, you go to jail, you don't show up and work, you lose your welfare. How's about the homeless, they want to live in camps, put em to work.
During the Great Depression we had the CCC and WPA, desperate times require desperate measures.
