At least 20 miles of bumper-to-bumper traffic thru the valley into Banning’s construction zone - sucks if you’re headed that way - lots of toy haulers and traffic

Just came through there about an hour ago .... no more on a weekend, I know better and still did it! ... and it seems like the lanes keep getting narrower!

Went out that way on a Friday evening couple weeks ago and it was a nightmare. Should have just waited till Saturday morning to head up.

Just came back today. Took us 5-1/2 hours from havasu to garden grove going that way. Wasn’t the worst I have been in but still sucked!

The 15 wasn’t any better

Came back from Glamis last night around mid-night and went through there. Did not get off the gas once. Windy but no traffic at all.

It's been this way for ages...

I usually only take that route mid week. Same as where the 15 and 215 come together, it's packed 24/7 now!

Oh no, this can't be true, haven't you read it right here on RDP how everybody has fled California ? Obviously, not nearly enough or fast enough for my liking. ;)

What is your alternative route? When coming back from the river on a Sunday the only thing I’ve found to help is to either leave for home early in the a.m. or wait to leave Havasu after 7p.m. Either way is not my favorite, but it beats being on the freeway for 6+ hours 😡

My alternative is mid week travel only! Being old and retired has its benefits. If I had to do a weekend, it would be early AM for sure.

Is there construction in that area that is causing this?

I would say that construction isn’t helping but yes there is construction. Rockforce is widening and repairing the 10fwy from Cabazon to the East to Beaumont to the West.

It’s simply people staying local doing mini getaways and there are no alternative routes or feeder roads through the pass. The 10fwy is the only route through that area. Add in the crazy traffic at the outlet centers and Morongo Casino and you have a log jam.

Same thing we have found. Left there Sunday afternoon a couple times and jammed. This past Sunday we left at 8:45am and breezed through.
