I deleted years ago and only started another maybe 8 months ago. I thought that I needed to get back on to oppose the other side. I felt that not being on was kinda like succeeding. Then learned that they filter everything for everyone anyway. So done with it.

I'm here, and Instagram...most the people I "follow" on IG are people I have met through cars, some from 20 years ago. I don't have much family, and the people I knew in HS I've done a good job of avoiding...leave those skeletons in the closet and lock the door.
On my IG, very limited political. I like cars...that's all the world needs to know about me from that view.

I don't talk politics on any social media for the most part. What comes across a Facebook news feed is a direct result of who's on the friends list. Once you get that sorted it's all good. I use it to keep in contact / reconnect with family and folks from my hometown. And I'm in a few boat and Jeep groups as well. Have met a bunch of 4x4 buddies via Facebook.

Deleted FB, messenger and IG about 6 weeks ago. I still have my accounts and my assistant manages the business pages so I felt ok about stepping away. I have FB available on my laptop, but I found after the initial sting I don’t really miss anything. It feels like I opened up so many time slots in my day. I’m way more productive now and have more time to give my kids. I won’t be returning.

For the first 5 years before they went total commie I had a rule. If I didn't know you for 20 years you were not invited. I silence all the politics. I'm just on there to see the great things My Family and friends do. It is a simple way for Family to reach many with one click. Nothing more or less.

One thing I know. Keep your friends close, keep the enemies closer. I don't have that shitshow on my phone but I do use the M in front the link. It is bizarre how that changes the dynamic of the feed. Try it on your laptop or pc.
