That’s why I told my wife NO when she wanted an RV and or a Trailer. I love the R3 insulation on the roof and walls 🤣
Sounded like a Chop Shop
I always hear about having to fix shit all the time. Just bought a house in Havasu so no more asking about that shit no more 👍

The methods aren't all that much different now, but the materials are mostly better. Composites sides, MUCH higher insulation, more RV's without wood as a primary framing member, etc.

6 hrs once all the sub assemblies are ready. But still, I bet the sub assemblies are also built “quickly!”

Those dudes are moving stupid fast even the cleaning lady. Either they got a boss hammering them or they got a boss feeding them meth. Either way the assembly had plenty of sketchy moments.

Henry Ford did it.
Toyota does it.
Show me a hand built car nowadays. That's affordable.
Crying about nothing.
Carry on...

When I had ToyHauler Magazine years ago I toured a bunch of manufacturer plants. It was scary watching them build some of these trailers. I should dig up some old pictures but then nobody would ever buy a trailer again.

Weekend Warrior was a lot quicker than that and when you pull it, it makes screws.

I just got back from Middlebury Indiana to have a slide out fixed on the Showhauler Super C I drove to Indy for the races and I got to tour the factory. For a lot more money you get a lot higher quality and they only aim to deliver one a week but forty a year is a normal year.
I toured the town and was surprised that most manufacturers are there including Jayco and their facilities are huge. They say the population is 5,000 but goes to 20,000 on work days. The town is incredibly clean and the people are extremely nice.

Nice Pete 389. Would suck to be stuck driving that day cab all the time though. A short high roof sleeper would have made a better transition to the RV portion and would have been a lot more comfortable.

That thing is gonna be like driving a u haul.

No doubt, I’d rather be less cool and comfy.

I have seen the wiring and general construction on my Jayco Super C. You know, Jayco's flagship model.
That video about sums it up.

Imagine their compressor goes down - all those air drills. Yikes. Looking like mostly Homish workforce?

I have owned about every brand and type of RV. My best 5th wheel was a Dune Chaser by Monaco and my best motorhome is my current Holiday Rambler endeavor by Monaco. Aluminum frames, 1 piece aluminum roofs, huge chassis with 8 airbags.

I will never buy another Fleetwood or Forest River or Thor product.
