If nobody bought tickets ever again what would happen?
You and me both!
I could really do some good shit with 250 million or so after taxes....
This is a good opportunity to illustrate why living in Texas is a clear financial advantage. If you win the big nut Saturday night, California state income tax on the cash option jackpot now estimated at $550,000,000 will be more than $60,000,000. I, on the other hand, would have that extra rain to spend on hookers and blow while you enjoy the SoCal weather.
CA taxed the crap from my horse racing winnings so I am pretty sure they will grab your lottery money with both handsPretty sure CA does not tax lottery winnings. One of the few states that don’t.
“While that amount will be reduced by federal taxes, California does not tax lotterywins.Sep 20, 2019”
Amazing! Bet this changes soon.
