Almost 50 yrs. ago when I was 9, or 10, my mom used to take my sister, brother and I to a small theater in a barn. One that you see in the Midwest. One of those all wood, big ol’ red barn. My mom would take us on Saturday nights to see a C&W band because my uncle played steel guitar. I didn’t care for the music, but I appreciated seeing him play steel guitar. Every once in while the band would have a special guest. I don’t remember the man’s name, but I do remember that he had no arms and could play with his feet better than my uncle. What I took from watching that man is, there are a lot of people that have it worse than I do. That man’s perseverance has stuck with me.

I used to know an old jasper named Woody.
He was a one armed car mechanic in Santa Barbara. Owned a nice shop near the beach breezeway. Wonderful working environment.
He'd volunteer bartend at the Elks sports bar on NFL Sundays.

He did all mechanical work but auto and truck air conditioning was his speciality. Especially old classic auto A/C.

A real eye opener, didn't let his disability hold him back at all.
