I’d like to get a ski pole installed on our old Daytona. I’m looking for a place near Parker or Havasu to do it. Any ideas what it may cost? It has a 300 O.B. For power.

I have seen one that wraps around an outboard, or are you thinking more like a tower. I think the wrap around hooks right on the motor

You're gonna need to get a ski pole from someone like Marine Industries West. I have never seen a mounting kit for one that mounts to the hull so you'll like have to get one fabricated. You'd probably be better going to a boat builder since it'll have to be mounted and braced correctly to the hull.

The pole from MIW

Is that ONE-A-DAY’s old boat? I’ve always liked the 21 Daytona’s! As far as the ski pole goes, try calling Nordic Boats & ask them about it! I really like their operation & I’m sure they could probably install it for you.

Yes, it is. My girlfriend’s dad bought it from him, then he had it for sale for a while until I convinced her we needed it.

Call Eliminator.....My old Daytona had one fastened to the inside of the transom with a removable pole.

My cougar 22MTR has a ski pole. It's mounted on a bracket attached to the transom and removable with a pin. Not the greatest picture but shows part of the mount.

Very cool, glad it has a new home. I spent a lot of hours bringing that thing back to life, and getting it here from a barn in Michigan. Super solid boat since it was originally built for twins.

I have a solid aluminum pole I pulled out of a boat I cut up a while back...I'll measure it when I get home. I have to see what I've got in the way of the brackets. The pole is powdercoated blue, but I could throw it on the lathe and make it bare aluminum pretty quickly if you're interested.

Kenny at Eliminator can get you the bracket that mounts to the gunnel and the base plate that sets down in the bilge as well as the pole. I thought that boat still had the base plate in it, maybe not, I get daytonas confused.

Walt has a good point, take a picture of the inside of the transom so we can all see what or if there is any bracketry there.

Interesting.. I have plans to change the color of the boat and blue may be perfect...

Whats up with the race tape on the bow?
That was just temporary.. We got some sweet air off a wake (Napoleon Dynamite and Larry Enticer would have approved of the full send off the sweet jump) and flexed the hull enough to pop out the rub rail. It was repaired after the trip, but it worked in a pinch.

I don't think there is, but the boat is sitting in Parker and I'm at home in Seattle. Im not sure when I'll get down there next.

This. If you need a base mount for the ski pole I have one I didn't use. I mounted a billet ski pole on my Hallett v drive cruiser.

Don't judge the mess in the bilge as this is still in process of a re-rig but here is the setup on my 19 Daytona. Ski pole comes out easily, the hatch is built to fold forward to accommodate.

Still got the pole? Any chance I can see a pic? How long is it?

Damn near the same set-up as Curly's Lavey. The mounts are so stout that he actually bent the pole towing one of the "Big Mable" tubes when the front started to submarine.
