Are we not doing one this year? I think I might actually participate in this one instead of just donating my 100.00

What sorcery is this?
Healthywage. Its a web based weight loss wager. You set the amount of lbs you want to lose, timeframe and amount you want to bet and they take the wager. Its free money for them as 95% of people fail their diets. Catches are the minimum amount of time is 6 months and you have only the last 2 weeks to weigh in. If you forget or fail they keep your money.

No idea. I hear the commercials on the radio daily and see it all over the internet. They claim you can win upto $10k. No matter how much I wagered I couldn't get that much. It all depends oh home much you are going to lose in how long. I needed the motivation to lose the weight as I always do better when there is a bet involved. So I will take their free money.

Should we start a betting thread against the weight loss betting company? We can bet against the company and bet against each other?

I need to lose 30 lbs. and could use some motivation.

I just checked out the healthywage app. I put in a wager of $500 and a weight loss plan for 6 months.

This is the result. A $500 monthly investment for 6 months will net me a $384 profit? It doesn’t make sense.

I am guessing thats 30lbs off your current weight in 6 months isn't much of a gamble to them. $500 a month is to high. Since the max they will pay is $384 for your 30 I would keep backing it down to the lowest dollar bet to hit that. Guessing around $178. I upped mine to 50lbs in the same 6 months and the number went high as my bet amount also went lower as the odds were better for the house.

I'm in if anyone wants to play . . . my 'Chub-Scout' ass is prime'd to shed some lbs. . . . . throw some dough in as an incentive & I'd be all over it!
Between the covid 19 lb's I've gained & the Traeger 20 . . . i could easily let go of 40!

Im ok throwing a couple extra bucks in for whoever wants to run this deal. I don't have the time or the RDP clout.

35 years ago stop eating fried food and limited red meat. Dropped 30 pounds and have maintained 165 ever since. Just to be clear beer was still part of the routine

I should have signed up last year. I dropped 55 lbs by eating 240 calorie breakfast bowls in the morning and big chicken salads at night, no lunch.

I still need to lose 20 more, but that last push is always the most difficult part.
