Thanks Mel!! Your placements the last few weeks got me pushing myself to land in the top 10,000 every time in advanced Beginner 30 Minute classes. [emoji106]

Back home for a couple weeks. Been hitting the garage gym for an hour a day pretty religiously. Shoulder day today with leg press to end. Back on the Peloton tomorrow:oops:

Building a nice lead on the family challenge. Valentines thru Easter. (Unfortunately, it’s 21 workouts and 21 six packs of silver bullets also).

Took a 45 min climb ride yesterday with Kendall Toole that went on my list to never take again. Only a few of the songs were good and most were terrible (my fault for assuming it would be all hard rock/hip hop). Her "climb" was not at all like a Ben Alldis climb which is what I was looking for. Mental note to leave the climb rides to him [emoji106]

On another note, I did this 30 min intervals and arms on Wed and it is easily in my top 10 favorite classes. It was so fun. Highly recommend!

Added the RDSux hashtag if anyone else wants to.

Cool to see everyone still getting that grind in!

Nice work! I put in 14k steps yesterday and my legs were sore as hell this morning. I will be getting after it tomorrow morning. Rest day today... [emoji51]

Sleep and motivation has sucked this week... I was able to get in an upper body weight workout in on Monday night. Legs were not feeling it yesterday so I gave into another recovery and jumped on the bike this morning... I had to work for it but.....a new 20 minute PR [emoji106]

Thanks!! It’s definitely becoming a chore, I just have to fit it in and keep going. The healthy eating is easy for me though[emoji106]

I hear ya. Truth be told, I never really get excited about putting myself through a tough workout. I have to frequently (read: almost daily) remind myself of the days when I was in so much constant pain from my back that I wondered if I would ever be able to be active again. The realization that I'm lucky enough to be able to move again and be strong is pretty powerful. This is one of the posters I hung in our gym room.

Plus, that feeling after a sweat sesh is pretty amazeballs.

Just finished Chest day with leg press to close it out. 25th workout in 38 days. The family contest goes until Easter so the kids have 12 days to make up some ground. I’m down about 6lbs from the heaviest I’ve ever been. (Covid 15 is no joke). Definitely feels good to get the strength back and tighten everything up a bit. Cutting out breads and fried foods this week...

As a guy who's tried every diet configuration out there, I feel this is worth talking about. Gluten.

Cutting out gluten is the least radical thing i've done yet has given the most radical results. This time of year the muscle gets packed on from work so the scale isn't much different but the "puffyness", water weight and bloat have disappeared. Guys, this is a cycle I've dealt with for the last 10 years since I started taking care of myself and in 2 months time, it's been broken. Heartburn and excessive gas are gone as well. It seems I have some sort of gluten intolerance even with sticking to organics.

Coors Light has been replaced with those gay seltzers and cut out bread and wheat pasta. Nothing else has changed. It's worth thinking about.

A not so fun downside- the 24/7 belly bloat is gone but the skin that held it all decided to stay. Fuck me.

To be expected after looking like this for 15 years I guess.

That's some serious transformation. Cutting the gluten out really helps with just cutting out all the crap! I still eat Gluten and Dairy but have cut them out before and it felt great. One of the best things I have ever done is cutting out anything with vegetable oil or Canola Oil and instead eating Olive, Coconut and avocado oil, this helps to cut out the crap as well!

Fuk! I've been eating good so far this year and been feeling pretty damn good, cheat days here and there but today I decided to go to Andreas Seafood in Ventura harbor and have some fish and chips for lunch. It was really good as we haven't been there in 15-16 months and it hit me hard, feeling pretty tired and sluggish this afternoon and evening. WOW!

Don't let Adam off the hook.

Especially with Steph vulnerable.

Yesterday’s Run-

Low impact this morning so I could recover. I’ll do another ride possibly at lunch. At minimum weights.

Very impressive Hammer. You’re on a hell of a roll

Thanks! I slacked off last week. Only got two days in. I actually ran Thursday night in Havasu. Not sure what I was thinking, but it felt good. Lol

Finished up workout number 30... Solid chest workout that’s gonna hurt a little tomorrow morning. Extended the contest for an extra week since the kids are spending the weekend together in St Louis

How'd you like Bradley? I haven't taken any of his rides yet. I get the impression that he's too nice, like Cody. Not a fan of anyone who doesn't kick my ass and yell at me while doing it [emoji38][emoji38]

LMAO! MEH.... I probably wouldn’t take another one of his classes. It was a first for me. He’s kind of corny, South African or English accent.

Going to try and put in a little more this week and see if I can keep pace...

Weighed in at 276.4 this morning. I was 315 just a few months ago. I can't remember the last time I was this light. Feels weird to be an average size American again.

I'm 2 cans shy of a 6 pack. LOL Those last 2 lower cans are tough to get!

Finished up a solid back workout. Definitely gonna feel that in the morning. Didn’t feel like it but knew that when my daughter got home she’d be on the bike within minutes.

Up 3 with 5 days left.. My son has his bosses in town this week so i don’t expect anything miraculous. Daughter doesn’t give up easy.

Update: Yep, she came home and killed it.

Peer pressure got to me. Got back on the bike today. Didn’t set a new PR but it felt good. ( I was able to confirm that riding the day after heavy leg press is not the most fun).
PS. Might have cheated a little in the rest period when i dropped out of the top 6,000. ;)
