I am not sure, all I know is it is pretty No, I am having this new to us boat redone and everything was shot, we got the boat very cheap and the trailer is worth more than the boat, it was, not anymore, I would Imagine it is the one rated at that, but I really do not now ? I guess I should, but the mechanic has been working on our boats for 15 years, so I trust his judgment, BUT, this is the first freshwater boat I have ever owned !:skull
Yes it was set back like that, and I have done what you did, I told him I want a boat that starts and runs and is 100% safe for my crew ( son, daughter and wife ) I think it will be sweet ! I will post daily pics as it progresses I am happy ! Should be cool when it is done !
Thanks
Craig
Here are some pics of the boat we got, as I said, I have never owned a freshwater boat, but I am sure this will be just fine for playing on the river and Shawn( my mechanic) said the jack plate is kind of a must anyways at the river and he also said that once I figure out how to use it, my guess is trimming , I will love having it !
PS
The Mercury 200 we are taking off will be for sale after he goes through it, it is a solid motor, needs a carb job and a few other things, we will be selling for a decent price once it is in perfect running condition !
What are you replacing the motor with? I've had my boat for almost three months now. When I took it in and had the new Jack plate, transom and prop installed was a new boat. Handled totally different. First trip out I had a loaner prop on it and I liked it then the prop I ordered came in and it was another new boat. Little changes make a huge difference on these boats.
We are putting on a Mercury 2012 150 Optimax XS, the motor should be hanging on the boat today if it does not rain all day, the ski is blue here by the beach right now , but that will not last, hopefully they will roll the boat inside the shop and keep working on it, we had said thanksgiving is when we wanted it, and they are taking their time and doing a sweet job, now I am hoping to take it to the river next weekend to begin the breakin and they slowed down, the motor has been sitting in the crate there for about 3 weeks I will post more pics when it is out of the box !
Nice boat. Kinda looks like a 18' Baker Sprint. Is it?
One thing to note if you have the same set-back now with the new motor as you did with the old motor..... I think you might have some problems with porpoising since the new motor weighs about 150lbs more than the old one.
