anyone have one of these?

If so, how are they? Roomy? Sporty? Slow?

I was all about one of these a few years ago until I read a long term report by Motor Trend, they said that the ride was very rough no matter what suspension mode it was in or if the tires were underinflated. I went and got a CPO BMW 650 Gran Coupe for about $30k less.

2017 20d (turbo-diesel). Plenty of go. Not a racer, but the diesel torque is very nice on the hwy. Wife's car. She loves it. After driving Suburbans and Tahoes for many years, with kids gone, she wanted something smaller and sporty. Back seat is reasonable, rear compartment is plenty large. Very easy to drive, park, maneuver. Does ride firm, more like a sports sedan, but not uncomfortable. It is responsive and handling is tight. It is a different driving experience than other Import cars I have had. Not German, not Japanese. It has its own feel. Gas mileage is really good (20-25 mpg). Been a good vehicle. I don't know enough to compare to the BMW or MBZ.

I was apprehensive about Jaguar, but it's been problem free 🤞. The dial transmission shifter makes me uneasy and so does all the electronic gadgets, but she doesn't drive many miles any more, so hoping to get 50-75k out of it.

On top of that, it's a really sharp looking SUV.

I rented one at Enterprise about 5 months ago, really liked it. Black/black, ran and rode great, nice interior, looked sharp.
Probably would consider leasing one.
I would try a Cayenne and a Q7 (or Q8) before making a decision, have friends with both that swear by them

I picked up my daughter from school in it and she still mentions how nice it was.

Any Euro vehicle , unless you are worth serious millions of fuck you disposable income, you lease these over engineered toys.

It's only something you own under full warranty. Sell it before it expires.

I have a 2017 F Pace S. Ride is very firm. Handles like a sports car. Has Lots of Power. Gets 26-27 mpg on the highway. Just take it in for yearly maintenance that they pay for. One of the most fun cars to drive that I have ever owned!

Get the R. The exhaust note is amazing and the power is incredible. We have an F type R and it will break all 4 tires loose when you get on it.

Look into the new Evoque by RR, smooth door handles, etc. It has a flawless interior as the F pace does not.

in this price range go drive them all. Audi Q5S, BMW X3, X4, X5, Jag, RR, Explorer sport with 400hp, MB.....
lots of options.
We just did this, well a year ago. Landed on the X3 M. Audi was second but it was already starting to look dated.
The others did not lease well, just no resale values. I will never buy one of these SUV's after the warranty is up your screwed.
The MB was the last.

They are fantastically fun to drive...as long as someone else is paying the bills once they are out of warranty....;)

I love European vehicles, they make me a ton of money! Just giving an honest opinion about the costs after they are out of warranty, a customer with a stalling issue on her 2013 A4 took it to the dealer on my recommendation, since I only repair what I can see has failed, and I could not replicate the problem.

Long story short, Intake, Timing Chains, Rear Main Seal, and a cylinder head replacement later they finally got it fixed, after 3 runs at it, 3k out of his pocket, and 16k in warranty work he could have been on the hook for, luckily he took my advice, and let them marry it (by allowing them to make the initial diagnosis and repair), and it buried them....

Don't let it be you!

Jag interiors ain’t what they used to be.
There was a time where they set the standard for euro luxury.

Thats beautiful.... my first Jag was a 1978 XJ6L and man was that fun.... until the head cracked... arghhhh. Took me two more Jags to cure my disease. I bought new /87 XJ6 L and a new '89 XJS 12. Just had to dump them before warranties up. I'm cured now.... USA Trucks ha. The scent of those cars interiors was so friggin rich.... and that burled walnut looked really cool.
