Yeah, there is a huge swell going on right now on the North Shore as well. It is impressive for sure. Not to take away from what they are doing today. What truly blows my mind is back in the 60s when my father surfed the North Shore they used tanks for boards and did not have the jet skis to pull them out or life-vests on as well. Again I am in no way bashing they still are getting pounded when they crash and burn.

That’s a bucket list thing for me. To sit in a channel. Had a chance to due Mavericks but couldn’t get there in time.
I just passed swamis in Encinitas, my big wave spot at home. I’m to old and fat to paddle into that shit now.

You can watch big surf on tv, from the beach. Until your in the water you have no idea the power. It’s a life changing feeling. You understand how small you are in big picture

That is awesome, I watched/listened to most of it yesterday. I want to get there someday to see it in person. Some of the first round wipeouts were insane.
