JBP 9 Vane Jet drive bowls are here ... for some time now We have been boasting of the forthcoming legendary Aggressor 9 Vane bowl. The bowl has been reengineered for additional strength with a standard OD bowl having .600 wall thickness* while maintaining the awesome original design characteristics . This bowl has a stuffer area for Dominator style impeller and has an area dedicated to a stuffer for Berkeley Impellers as well. The Bowls are made of the finest quality 356 T6 and heat treated for extra strength. The mold/tooling for this part is by itself amazing in preciseness quality . These bowls will retrofit to most and popular mixed flow jet drive application, they will be used exclusively in our popular XLerator kits going forward MSR is $995 Special order (can be made in two or three payments)
.... for comparison current Berk G bowl $1499 Dominator $1128

Do you guys offer a service to clean up the castings? Sharpen the edges on the vanes, etc? Or do they come all fixed up as the finished product?

Thanks for the question , The 9&11 vane tooling (mold) ...(unlike some old school wooden molds) is an awesome precision machined aluminum piece so the "as cast" vanes and blades do not require much, as for detailing , as this is the first run of 9 vanes since our acquisition of Aggressor we havent given alot of thought to bowl work as such, below is one josh just finished . One thing we do different is the virgin 356 heat treated alloy versus Aggressor's were made from Tenzalloy , Tenzalloy is a "shelf curing alloy " which was not near as strong , We will give some thought to your question on the next run, the first 12 went like "hot cakes"

Ok, well good to know you have the Aggressor stuff. We worked with Aggressor early on in a switch from a Berkeley to their pump for circle ski racing in the Jet class. Aggressors seemed to be good pumps but like you said, it seemed their materials choice was not always the best (their impeller material was something unique if I remember right). That boat is now retired but if we decide to fix it up, we'll let you know if we need anything.

An unrelated question, do you know of anyone interested in a full Berkeley pump (intake to bowl) that was our switch out? It's been sitting in a Havasu storage for years and might need some clean up. At this point I don't know if its in a sellable condition. It was full race prep by Jack McClure (double drilled bowl, stainless AA impeller, Aquamet shaft, all the good stuff at that time).

Thanks!
