The trucks run you up to the rapids and then you float back down. Not sure on the whole process yet.
We just got to Bear Lake one hour east.. Caribbean blue waters / white sand / sxsās everywhere and performance boats! I just found Havasu North with unbelievable scenery and turquoise blue water!

How cold is the water?
Dave, you and I talked about you always wanting to take your family on an āepic vacationā, and basically touring the United States.
Itās pretty cool that youāve finally positioned yourself to be able to to start the trek.
as a dude thatās seen most of it, (and posted my travels about it) please do not stop once youāve shown your children the āhighlightsā of the scenic west. (The southwest will always hold a special place in my heart, as itās the most beautiful place Iāve ever seen)
thereās too much for your kids to digest for them them to understand the journey that the pioneers endured to cross the Great Plains of Kansas, the Dakotas, Nebraska, eastern Colorado, to truly stop and āsee itā To reach the middle of our country and see the billboards begging for our repentance, (in Missouri), to cross the mighty Mississippi, to see the ārust beltā, and truly understand what it is, and what it meant to our country, and why itās called that. (It isnāt because they use salt on the roads)
To show them the coastal Carolinaās,
to tour the Smithsonian in DC
To see the Rouge in Detroit.(not to even mention the Henry Ford
to truly understand why they call the east coast of Florida the āspace coastā
I surely hope that your trip was a shakedown run. Really happy to see the kids and Stacy enjoying a vacation...
Keep checking the tire pressures, and fuel tanks topped off.
feel every tire at every fuel stop. Itāll tell you if trouble is brewing.
safe travels dude.
Curious, found this NASA image, showing what it's referred to as the "Caribbean of the Rockies" The mixing visible in this Sat Image, is due to the Calcium Carbonate (Limestone) that's suspended in the water, refracting the sunlight.
I be this 20 mile lake being so wide open, can get a pretty good chop stacking up on a windy day.

it really is pretty impressive in person.. the pics never show it for what it is. Itās beautiful here. Iām hoping the body I rented isnāt a total pile and I hope we get to see some of that crazy blue out on the water!
RVing life .... I think this is what its all about for sure. Good times. You can let that oven back home wait! The KOA is right on this little fast flowing river. They rent tubes and for the little ones they float 2-3 blocks.. if you go further up they have rapids View attachment 1015569 View attachment 1015570 View attachment 1015571
when you drive into the town there is a sign and it is actually a giant water slide you drive under. They have all kinds of water fun stuff for kids to teenager and adults.. Main Street is perfect for nice dining to corn dogs with plenty of shops for antiques to art etc.. this place is absolutely awesome and we are coming back for a couple days sooner than later. Approximately 10 hrs from Havasu so possible three day vacation!
We gotta know.... what is an "Escape room?" I don't want to guess and yes I don't get off the beach much.Last pics of that āmallā. Cool concept and owned by Kimberly Eastwood which is Clintās daughter. The manager was telling me the husband is a movie producer actor as well but canāt remember who he was.

Itās where you and a group get locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to escape. Family entertainment not limited to adults as I think you were envisioning lolWe gotta know.... what is an "Escape room?" I don't want to guess and yes I don't get off the beach much.

That's a plan for me and the wife as well. Should have done it when kids were young instead of every other weekend at glamis of havasu. Lol.Dave, you and I talked about you always wanting to take your family on an āepic vacationā, and basically touring the United States.

They have the same deal at Zion you can go down the Virgin riverPretty sure thatās the entire process Dave.
Itās hard to image that places like this still exist that shuttle customers up the road on an open trailer.
