Awesome! Go find Casey on the Burger boat. Hes an old friend of of mine. Lives up here full Time now. Heā€™s on the N end. Tell him Corey sent you.

I took the pics of the fish to show you guys the color of the water.. Itā€™s like tropical blue up here! It didnā€™t really come through in the earlier pics.

this is a pretty nice marina! Saw a blue M31 earlier and a few other performance boats but they were all off the water by the time I got back.

Curious, found this NASA image, showing what it's referred to as the "Caribbean of the Rockies" The mixing visible in this Sat Image, is due to the Calcium Carbonate (Limestone) that's suspended in the water, refracting the sunlight.
I be this 20 mile lake being so wide open, can get a pretty good chop stacking up on a windy day.

Dave, you and I talked about you always wanting to take your family on an ā€œepic vacationā€, and basically touring the United States.

Itā€™s pretty cool that youā€™ve finally positioned yourself to be able to to start the trek.

as a dude thatā€™s seen most of it, (and posted my travels about it) please do not stop once youā€™ve shown your children the ā€œhighlightsā€ of the scenic west. (The southwest will always hold a special place in my heart, as itā€™s the most beautiful place Iā€™ve ever seen)

thereā€™s too much for your kids to digest for them them to understand the journey that the pioneers endured to cross the Great Plains of Kansas, the Dakotas, Nebraska, eastern Colorado, to truly stop and ā€œsee itā€ To reach the middle of our country and see the billboards begging for our repentance, (in Missouri), to cross the mighty Mississippi, to see the ā€œrust beltā€, and truly understand what it is, and what it meant to our country, and why itā€™s called that. (It isnā€™t because they use salt on the roads)

To show them the coastal Carolinaā€™s,

to tour the Smithsonian in DC

To see the Rouge in Detroit.(not to even mention the Henry Ford

to truly understand why they call the east coast of Florida the ā€œspace coastā€

I surely hope that your trip was a shakedown run. Really happy to see the kids and Stacy enjoying a vacation...

Keep checking the tire pressures, and fuel tanks topped off.

feel every tire at every fuel stop. Itā€™ll tell you if trouble is brewing.

safe travels dude.

We have some work commitments on Thursday or weā€™d be running out here for another week or two. I thought about putting Stacy on a plane and keeping on trucking.. lol

Havenā€™t checked any tires yet but since ya brought it up Iā€™m gonna do that when we pull out of here.

So far we have broken a few things on the motorhome but all minor and will be fixed the day I get home.
Nice to hear from you and I hope everything is going well down in Florida!

it really is pretty impressive in person.. the pics never show it for what it is. Itā€™s beautiful here. Iā€™m hoping the body I rented isnā€™t a total pile and I hope we get to see some of that crazy blue out on the water!

Been an awesome travel thread, can't believe I've been around this long and have never visited any of these places right here in good ole USA.
Checked the weather report wondering what it was like temp wise up that way and it appears "Havasu" breezy might be an understatement for later.

The KOA is right on this little fast flowing river. They rent tubes and for the little ones they float 2-3 blocks.. if you go further up they have rapids View attachment 1015569 View attachment 1015570 View attachment 1015571

when you drive into the town there is a sign and it is actually a giant water slide you drive under. They have all kinds of water fun stuff for kids to teenager and adults.. Main Street is perfect for nice dining to corn dogs with plenty of shops for antiques to art etc.. this place is absolutely awesome and we are coming back for a couple days sooner than later. Approximately 10 hrs from Havasu so possible three day vacation!
RVing life .... I think this is what its all about for sure. Good times. You can let that oven back home wait!

Last pics of that ā€œmallā€. Cool concept and owned by Kimberly Eastwood which is Clintā€™s daughter. The manager was telling me the husband is a movie producer actor as well but canā€™t remember who he was.

This right here is a huge reason I have zero desire to go to Mexico. There is SO much beauty to explore here it's crazy.

That's a plan for me and the wife as well. Should have done it when kids were young instead of every other weekend at glamis of havasu. Lol.

Dave pick up a set of tire pressure monitors that screw on valve stems for Moho and toad. They work great and very reasonable, screen goes on dash, keeps you safer.

CAnt get over the water color itā€™s beautiful.. Definitely a place i would come back too. They donā€™t have anything on the water to my knowledge, it was pretty blown out so we didnā€™t go to far in the rental.. lol. We had a great time idling around and towing the kids on the tube and just relaxing.
Back at the KOA now and the kids are off on a scavenger hunt.. Iā€™m gonna take a nap.

Just ate dinner at this campground. They call it glamping and we looked up the prices.. People are willing to pay quite the premium to sleep in a tent and walk to a bathroom / shower.. lol.

Pretty, but I donā€™t understand the prices for sleeping in a tent. More or less paying crazy money to rough it somewhat.

Had a very left feeling to it if ya know what I mean..

The restaurant kicked ass though..
