Just raise your hand when they ask, if you or any of your friends and family have had a DUI, or been involved in an accident where the other driver had a DUI.

Most of the court cases needing a Jury, are DUI cases. They weeded me out after that question, and I spent the rest of the day waiting to be released. I've never been called back, it's been 15 years.
1 sample from 15 years ago doesn't sound like a statistical certainty... LOL...

Served many times and also been a foreman in LA & Orange Counties. They have the call in system in So CA so sometimes you phone in and aren't needed. If you have to report sometimes you aren't selected and your done with it. Lastly, if you are selected AND you get chosen for the jury during attorney questioning if you feel you can't be impartial just state that and you'll get booted. I was on a civil and a lady was suing Ralph's for a slip & fall. Something about her demeanor/appearance made me honestly feel prejudiced and told the attorney/judge as much and was dismissed. BTW, I do believe it's your civic duty.

Screw it ,Throw it away and don't talk about it .
or Tell them them your racist .but still going to waste a day of your time
