What's material cost for a print that big?

This print used a lot of support material because of the overhang. It used about 7/8 of a spool. A spool cost about $20. This was a 30 hr print @ $10 hr. So this is a $320 print.

It’s basically a CNC hot glue gun.

Yes, but there is a type of this machine that uses a liquid resin and lazers or photo electric beams to solidify the resin. The mold people seem to us those machines. The finish on the resin machines is much better.
