We rolled into Kanab Utah Monday.
Wife contributes $$ and volunteers at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary here.
An amazing place in Its own valley.

Some good off roading to be done as well.
This trip will be Slot Canyon/Peekaboo and Barracks trails.

We’re at the Dark Sky RV park. They have a strict lights out at night rule here to keep down light pollution.
Night sky stars lights up in deep 3D.

The TH just fit in the pull around style spots. Read that Just fit. 50 Amp.
Lots of cool things to do here as well. :

Enjoy reading all your adventures. Keeps increasing the list of spots I need to go with my daughter to wheel before she leaves the house, or no longer wants to hang out with dad in the desert.

One of my previous bosses moved out to Big Water and has a place overlooking the lake. He told us "For an interesting experience, drive into Colorado City and see how long it takes until someone starts following you around." He wasn't kidding, and it absolutely happened!! The world of polygamy is CRAZY!!! 😲😁

Belly of the Dragon tunnel.
Wife likes the most challenging, hairy, remote trails possible.
It’s been fun.

Get off my lawn..... There are so many places around here called Peekaboo I never know where people are when then talk about it. There is a new fancy phone app for "the Wave" daily lottery to get into that hike, you many want to try it. For The Wave, they grant access through a reservation lottery and a daily lottery on the app.

I gave you some bad information... the online lottery system doesn't start until March 15, so you still have to physically show up for the daily lottery.

We went to RV parks mixer.
Pizza, snacks, treats, beer n wine.
Flame tables etc - really cool.

About half the RV park visitors showed and within minutes of arriving the hikers & bicycle people formed a social clique vs the MX SXS visitors gathering together.
You could feel the animosity in the air.

Chatter was extreme enviros are out to close trails to everyone including the bicycle & hikers. Victims of their own screwball efforts.

It’s slowly tightening up. The valley Best Friends is located is a good example. They have closed most of it off to most visitors and are tightening it more goes the scuttlebutt. They don’t even want people driving through.
Its stated in their literature.

Locals living at the RV park say who spends the most wins and that’s the MX/ATV and SXS visitors.

Sadly I knew this was coming....Kanab was the best kept secret in off roading until just a couple years ago. Now, Moab and Kanab are on the top of the eco-nazi hitlist.
