I always wanted one of these things, but never could seem to find one. One popped up on fb day before yesterday, so I drove down to ehrenberg last night and got one!

Now time to fix it up a bit!

So you needed a pontoon due to your foot, but this purchase is justified... Love it! :)

This is easy to get in and out of?
I don't see it as a walk on/walk off boat, but getting in/out might be easy but you will likely be using both legs/feet to remain stable underway... depending on the day driven.. :)

Be fun to blast back in the narrow passages in the tulies up river.
Refit it with an SXR motor.

Always thought the joystick was a bit weird
LOL Saw a few go by the river house. Looked like a guy jerking off in a bath tub.

Fun adventure going to get this last night. Pretty easy to find. Turn right at the fire station in Ehrenburg. Make the first right. Go to the end of the street. Make a left. Go to the end again. Fifth house on the right. [emoji106]

Be nice to pick up an 800 engine or a triple. Thing would really scream. Think 800 should drop right in easily. It’s 80 hp vs the 650 50

Had one 30 years ago. Used it to hit the bar one cove over. Mosquito kill'n fucker. 😛
It will toss out three drunks if you're not careful.....so I have been told.😁
Also had one of the old SC side by side, what a turd. I cracked the hull in rough water but got back my dock before it sank.
Dealership guys called them Showroom Couches

Do you have friends in Stockton? Is that one of your old boats?

Mach 22, are they the same as an Eliminator just re - badged?

Seeing that video I never thought about how you get back in the boat if you are floating in overhead deep water. Id have the kids try that so they know what to expect.

Funny they came and went and the boating industry never adopted the “pack of cigarettes” hull design.

I rarely speak badly about any watercraft, but in the case of the JetMate I'll make an exception. It was in late 1988 and Kawasaki hired me as part of the photo team to shoot the brochure for their new Jet Mate. They selected Big Bear Lake as the location for the shoot. Kawasaki delivered the 'mate' to a marina at the lake. What they didn't do (and is normally the case when doing a shoot for a manufacturer) is have a factory tech remain on-site to babysit the product to help out if any mechanicl issues are encountered. Once in the water, it was immediately evident hat the JetMate was grossly underpowered (and it also didn't help that we were at 6,000' elevation). Even with just a driver onboard, there was no way the JetMate was going to get on plane and run more than 10 mph at WOT. Rather than scrub the shoot and head home , we decided to make the best of it. Each and every time we wanted to take 'running' images, we towed the JetMate on plane with my photo boat. Once it was up, the driver in the JetMate would keep the throttle wide open and release the tow rope. This went on for two days. All in all, a poorly conceived product, ill-handling and difficult to control. Jet on......
