I searched the internet for some ideas (with no luck on clear answers) on how to set the jetting/needle on my son's 2002 Kawaski KX 65 when were riding in mammoth this month. We currently ride out at the river (fishers landing) & Ocotillo wells so I know where it's set now will be off. Mammoth & June Lakes trails are at an average of 8,000 feet above sea level, any of you guys had any experience with these smaller 2 strokes riding in altitudes like this.
Thanks in Advance

I can tell you that on my two strokes all I ever did was raise the needle clip all the way up (lowering the needle) when I was riding Mammoth or Utah. If your 65 is already fat running at sea level, you may need to drop a size on the pilot and the main. Carry a spare plug, you'll be fine. Have you checked the Pro-Circuit website? They always had great jetting charts.....
