Glad to see the water is still up. Heading up in the morning. Beach pictures at Lindy’s?

Last time I was at the Kings River was in the 80's. I had a blown Canyon runner with 2 buckets and Bassett exhaust. Before noon on the first day, two police walked down the bank into the water to greet me coming back from a skiing run. Got three warnings. Excessive noise, three people in a boat with two seats, my buddy was sitting on a cushion on the v drive holding his ski and excessive speed. Notice the ski tow.
We had a great, slow speed weekend.
The last day I went down to Riverland and made a pass next to a Sanger. Needless to say, I kept going up river right up to and on the trailer.

My sons up there now says water level is pretty high considering but cold. Lol. . Miss that place been a few decades since my last trip to royal oaks. No flatties or sangers for them. Just river lice. 😂😂😱👍

A couple years ago I took my 21 lavey out there. Defiantly not the best idea and was white knuckled the whole time but was pretty fun just had to know where to go

My buddies FIL was one of the Sheriffs on the river back then. I only got one ticket from him , for sitting on the gunnel while under power. They definitely could be assholes out there, but that place can be an absolute zoo.

The best part of the pictures is that the 5 bubble decks belong to friends and family that have been skiing and camping together for nearly 60 years...

The 19' that is second to the left in most of the pics started it all in 75' as our friend Andy Dyt bought that boat from Sundown Marine, my Dad built the trailer and its still under the boat. My obsession started on the showroom floor at Sundown Marine as I held a string for my dad to measure the boat at 6 years old there was no question I would own a bubble deck Sanger. This boat was purpose built and that was to ski hard. Against Sangers best wishes 20 gallon tanks were installed, Mr Dyt wanted as much fuel as he could get, they were still filling that boat daily burning more than 40 gallons a day. This boat is a beast and had / has no issue pulling 300lb plus guys out of the water, pulling multiple deep water bare footers... these guys skied hard! This boat is a wolf in sheep's clothing for sure, that boat had both Gayland Hill and Larry from Motor Magic involved with it, will pull a house down the river and did pull a Woman's Barefoot speed record in the early 80's.

Andy's friend and BIL (George Kasenbergen) bought a new 19' with a slight v bottom in 82' ish, the 12 year old me still remembers them coming back from Sanger and rolling that boat down the launch ramp at Lindy's.

Two of the boats belong to two little kids that used to argue over who would get Andy's boat (Me and Rich Dyt) but my dang cousin (Steve Westerlin) ended that argument and he bought the 75' 19' . The little kids arguing about the bubble deck in 75' both have them now and have for a long time as well. Rich has a 75' 19' not too far off from his Uncles build date and mine is a 77' 18'6"

The new kid on the block in the 72' 18'10" in the middle, I call him Sparkles! Beautiful resto with a big stroker 440 (Brent Houlihan) Brent married into this sickness as his wife has been around these her entire life as well. The Moons Family is the glue that holds this entire group together.

Show up at Lindys the second week in July and just mingle, especially if you have a Sanger, I guarantee now one will ask why you are there
