Recent trip to Kings: 6 flats
We had a great trip in Early August, we almost had the entire place to ourselves for 7 days. Had 6 flats in the water 1 more than last year and hoping to get 7 for next year, the best thing is that all but 1 are family. The Eliminator travels 1600 miles to get here, what a nut (NW V Drive).

I learned to water ski @ the Kings River in about 1973.
It was a cold M-F'r!

It was fun, but I prefer the Colorado River!

Yes that is at Lindy's and the water is cold, but you ski on top of it.;)

My family has been going here since 70' when I was 1 year old, still with the same group of frieds and cousins, we are into the 4th generation now.

Very small river but the cold does keep alot of people away and we like that, also really a family oriented place not to much room to party and get wild, that's why we ended up there in the first place.

Laughlin water is like Bahama water to the Kings! The Kings water is snow melt from about 75 miles away, but the air is 100 degrees. The water flat, refreshing, and quiet.

The temp really wasn't that bad this year do to all the water, the river was actually flooded from early June to mid July, so the water was coming off the top of Pine Flats rather than coming from the bottom. In early June the water feels like it stings, but you get used to it.
