So in 2014 before my left knee replacement, my good friend and orthopedic surgeon took 35 cc's of fluid off my knee on the trail while hiking down Mt. Whitney. Yesterday, the same friend pulled 50 cc's off of my RIGHT knee. A normal knee should only have about 5 cc's in there. Getting old is great! I guess I'll use my quarantine time to back off on Spartan training!🤣

just say full replacement..........

I hear ya. I'm waiting for the C shot to kick in the next week or so. The journey with my left knee started with an ACL replacement, MCL repair and meniscus repair in 1988. I then had it scoped in '96 and 2008. The replacement in 2014 was the best thing ever. I have a sizable tear in the meniscus on my right knee and he can't fix it until this corona crap is over. In 2014 I was where you are with the left knee and knowing what I know now, I should have had it replaced in 2008.

Good luck to you!

same to you!

I'm really really hoping my waterskiing days aren't over....... I'm 58, and can still make some ski runs while we camp.... My MRI wasn't super detailed.
I've got known meniscus tears, and swelling all the time. I literally hurt all the time. I have some relief from meds from my previous back surgery which
takes the edge off, however I still hate life right now.

just when I was ready to call the Dr office asking about my surgery date the doctor called me and told me I'd have to wait...... shit. oh well. nothing I can
do....

Get it replaced and you'll be shredding in no time! I ran a 5K with my daughter 9 weeks after replacement. Fake parts don't hurt!

My wife had hers done on Dec 9th last year. Took it easy for the first couple of weeks, but was in better shape than when she walked in to the hospital. Today, you would never know she had knee problems. Really helped her disposition as well......

these are very positive comments coming from you both... ANd I really appreciate it! my wife's already been commenting on how much of an ass I've been lately.

"you're drinking all the time" you're always in a bad mood" you're never happy" etc........

well, yeah. when you're hurting ALL THE TIME> (And I'm a pretty tough SOB btw) yeah.......

I've had quite a bit of fun the last 6 months.....

Fell about 12 feet off a ladder (the ladder foot fell in a hole and the ladder went to the right, and I went straight down) landed flat on my lower back on a concrete mow strip
in my back yard............ actually no long-term effects from that so it seems... lucky as hell on that one.

I have the right knee issue.

my right forearm is hurting. I think I'v'e torn a tendon or something....... my job is not repetitive so I don't think tendonitis. but who knows..

gettin old sucks......... had my left hip replaced about 6years ago....... yay. I swear I was the youngest guy in the waiting room on that one.

I think If I get the knee replacement, I''m gonna milk the time off like nobodys business.! like 5 months or some shit!

My left knee is jacked. Crazy part is it didn't hurt this much before I lost over 100lbs. Now it hurts all the time and since December has kept me from the gym. After reading this tread I will be heading in after the virus shit blows over to look into replacement.

1992 total left knee reconstruction, ACL, MCL, and no cartilage down to bone on bone. I was 34 at the time. 63 now have to have a pillow between my knees to sleep. It sucks and I know what you guys are going through. I played at the time and many years on my own fast pitch softball team, we traveled all over. I went one way and my knee went the other way. I have been able to hold off knee replacement so far. At the time my surgeon was the doctor who operated on all of the Sacramento Kings basketball players. His comment was you tore it up pretty bad.
