They are dumping lots of water for the last week or so. And it really shows down by Havasu Springs.

I poked around back in there with my old F350 one time. When it started to get sandy, I turned around right quick.

Seemed like that area would be fun to explore in a jeep or SxS.

I think @RiverDave has been back in there before?

I heard it's not enough to impact the releases from Mead, and that's too bad.

Same here. Interesting to see things like this. Beyond the road that we drive often. 👍

Seems I recall, at some point, the fish from Alamo were deemed problematic to eat. WTF? either eat em or don't.

100%

The the Havasu gang misses out on is the stuff that is past Alamo on the Wickenburg side. There is literally thousands of miles of trails.

The Santa Maria River, Date Creek and the Big Sandy are all area's to explore that lead to other interesting places. There's a place in Date Creek with Beavers actively living there. Tres Alamos Wilderness etc. There is no better place in Arizona. Very little competition with other users.

We've always stayed at Cholla Road campground, which is the place the video Rivermobster posted. The Rv sites are old, very old. My Dynasty rubs Palo Verde trees on both sides maneuvering thru there. only 30 amp, and no dumps at sites. Dump at exit. They built State Parks back then for RV's of the period, which were small by todays standards.
I’d like more info on these places all make a trip out there with the Husky and scout it all out. Alamo’s only 20 minutes from Havasu.

When it comes to Helping someone?

I'll be first in line.

When it comes to top secret spots?

Not no, but fuck no. That's how timeless things get destroyed.

There are so few pristine places left it's a shame to see them get trampled.

Just my 2 cents. You of course are entitled to yours.
I agree 100% sharing my route to bunker bar sure thing. Sharing my top secret route to gold fish pond not so much.

If you have to be in my trusted group of friends to get my “good routes” with non washboard trails
