So we're looking to check out some new places this year now that we have the moho to tow the boat. Anyone have experience with camping at Berryessa? Where's the best site, preferably water front and where you can keep the boat in the water, in sight or close to it. Are there good beaches? Thanks!

I was going to say hot and dry, but then thought about your normal boating.

There are a few campgrounds right on the water but its been a few years since I have been there. Remember that the lake is for irrigation and can drop down away from the campground by a long ways. Good boating though.

I'm there just about twice a month launching or camping at steele canyon aka steele Park. One of the better locations the camp sites are large the launch ramp is wide enough to take care of bizz and get out of the way all dry camping. Pleasure cove,Spanish flats and putah creek are the other locations.. Spanish has good water sites but the roads throught the place are all dirt and the launch ramp isn't the greatest you launch off a steel grate and dry camping. Putah has a few nice water sites great launch ramp too dont believe they have full hook ups. Pleasure has a couple good sites nice launch and store with gas, but only 2-4 full hook up spots The lake campgrounds book up fast have to quick draw Mcgraw to get water sites or constantly checking on Wednesday evenings or Thursday mornings for cancelations. Pleasure cove has the store and gas station, don't think Markley cove has gas but I could be wrong. Markley is launch only no camping.

I would think you could go to the Parks and Rec, State, County, website and look at a site map. Always Google Earth too.

With the MH, I can see why you'd Iike to know beforehand. Good hunting! Take some pics!!

The MH is going to be your real challenge. you need a campground that can handle that length of unit. Most of the state park campground do not work well with larger units.

The spots marked in blue are on pavement and are hard to get have only gotten lucky twice in 3 years my second picture is in that section. The other section is basically home base for the crew which is marked 5-22 all water front with beach as seen in my pics. those spots are large with trees for shade plenty of room to spread out(check Google earth)we have always preferred 7- 16 puts you in the middle of the cove and best beach area. My buddys 40ft TH fits line to line for those sites never a issue

From your Boat Pic I would say you were staying at Castle Rock Shores and almost right out in front of the site I always stay at 👍

Plenty of room at all sites . It’s wide open up there. Not state parks at berry Elsa.
