Lake Pend O Reille fun run?

I know this election mess is foremost currently, as it should be. But when things settle down a bit I want to get the word out that a few of us in the NW are putting together a late July/early August get together on the River/Lake. If we can get organized enough for a poker run we will.
Otherwise, a fun run similar to what we do on New Year’s Day here in Sarasota will do. As some of you know, N Idaho is a beautiful and fun place to visit in the summer.
It sounds like we have about 10-12 boats eager to go locally, so there is room for a lot more. Thanks for considering.

As I stated on OSO I’d like to drag the cigarette up there for a week and join the run. It’s be good to check our land and hang out for a bit.

The sooner you can nail dates down the better for us as we’ve never towed that far before and would to seriously organize and plan.

Just for info to everyone here, pend oriole is usually really calm during this time of year so big or small can run even though it’s a big lake. Maybe we can get a large group of RDP’rs to drag up there. I know they’ve done this for lake nacimiento in the past. This is just a tad further. Lol.

I'm sure it does but as far as far as tank mentioned earlier,the lake is is pretty damn big.

this has been discussed a few times on other threads.The answer is yes. BUT not enforced unless you’re being an idiot.The lake is fairly large. And only a handful of little marinas. As long as you’re not doing 100 mph 30’ off someone dock you’ll be fine. Probably keep it mellow in the river and in front of sandpoint but once you round the corner, let it rip.

Last time we were up there guy that lives in Washington has a nice house across from Hope on the lake. Bitchen cigarette gladiator sitting on a lift. We’d see him a mile out Haulin’ ASS going to dinner most likely in sand point a couple times. Never got sweated and was always running hard rooster flyin! There’s a couple DCB’s that run there and some other fast cats.
Bottom line, don’t be stupid and you’ll be fine.

Dover Marina has these bungalow rentals if anyone was interested. Close to Sandpoint.
Sandpoint has a good size dock downtown.
Easy walk to Eicharts brewpub on cedar st.
Good food/live music.

Here's a pic of their setup. Mostly seasonal slip rentals. I believe the perimeter dock is first come first served, but don't quote me on that. I'm not sure if they allow tie up on the outside.

I was there yesterday and they told me we could dock there.
Bayview might be a problem for docking. I’ll know more soon. Still need Bayview in the mix even if just a drive by.

Also check out Lake Roosevelt behind grand coulee damn in wa.the lake is roughly 160 miles long and pretty wide in places.

This is coming together pretty well so far. Local guys are working on permits for a street party in Sandpoint Fri night.
I know it’s a ways off and plans change, but it would be cool to have some RDP boats make it up.

Well...... Fuck

We were laying out the summer travel/boating schedule this morning, and we are already booked and paid for a week at Lake Billy Chinook for a week this same weekend. Looks like we are out for this. Super bummed, but that’s how things roll sometimes when the season is so short up here.
