A little over a week. Who's going?
What is the total distance of this run?
If my memory serves me right dangling rope is at buoy 45ish plus the small jaunt around the antelope island. I bet its about a 100 mile deal.
I'll be cruising the San Juan's and Canadian Gulf Islands.
We will be there thur-mon. We have a maroon and white 30ft magic septor. We will have a house boat docked in the private docks. Just trying to get my head around 100 miles of poker run!!!. I heard they do have 91 at antelope to refuel. The name is Kevin and we will have a full bar , so come buy!
The Tides on Friday, Pike's Place Saturday and board the boat Sunday night for our checkout.Tides Tavern and/or Lopez Island on the schedule?
They do have 91 octane at Antelope Point. And yes it is a long run but really worth it!
Sounds like you have done this poker run in the past. If so, were u able complete the run without fueling at dangling rope?
We ran it last year also. Didn't need to refuel. By the look of the map could the passage by castle rock have enough water to be open? Also, the narrow channel between Antelope and Wahweep is a really rough stretch. Did it last year for fun and a few boats in there really create swells.
I ran it last year and did the run without needing to refuel but was dry when I got back. Dangling rope only has 87 so depending on your needs plan accordingly. I generally top the boat off with av gas before heading to the lake because we top off the first day (Friday) at dangling rope and tool around all day and end up at Bullfrog. Hite has 91 at the other end of the Lake.
We ran quite a bit of Powell over the 4th of July this year and did good on fuel, but we were at cruising speeds. I am a little unsure about fuel, especially if we run hard. Our boat is only 27' so we might not even be able to run that hard if its real rough. I could not agree with you more about the channel between Antelope and Wahweep, very rough! The channel from the Wahweep bay to warm creek is open but its wake less and narrow.
See you on the water.

Never been to Hite. How far away is that from the dangling rope? I think DR is the most north card stop?
This was my first time attending this event. It was perfect, we had a blast. The people who put this together were very nice and did a bang up job. Beautiful scenic poker run route and everybody was smiling. Free lunch with a beach party at lone rock after the run and then a killer free dinner with a great auction to raise money. Well done!
We sponsor and participate in countless events across the country and even internationally but the Lake Powell Challenge is our personal favorite and we'll run through walls to attend in person. The friendly staff, organizers, participants and of course the scenic landscape combine to create an overall event feel that's unlike any other. Here are a few photos that only scratch the surface of the weekend fun.

Cool ice sculpture of a 42 Foutain. The detail work was amazing despite having melted for a few hours

George, owner of Donzilla holding court at the banquet getting the ballers to open their checkbooks for charity. There was a lot of money in the room but egos get checked at the door and the spotlight is on the cause.

We had a great time, but could not find your house boat. We hung at Anchovy point at the beginning then headed up to Analope, had some brunch and watched the first boats coming in.
Thanks Boat Bling, I will be sure to replace that bottle circled above for boat bling. Thank you for sponsoring such a cool event.El Guapo, your boat looked and sounded great! I snapped a spy pic of it on Friday morning
