@Nanu/Nanu please take photos of the setup early on as I’d like to keep expectations low lol

Sounds like you went through it all this last trip out. Good to hear family had your back. What’s the plan for the overheating issue?
I'm going to try back flushing my hoses. If I don't reveal anything I may pull my header and inspect it. If I don't see anything obvious I'll probably get it pressure tested.

I really feel like it's a blockage between my header and thermostat housing. But we shall see.

If I do need to get it pressure tested and welded I think beck racing out of the east valley in Phoenix can do this. Fingers crossed.

Oh yeah haha you're going to laugh at my setup guaranteed. We live like royalty out of our tent!

Just got back from a week at Powell. It was epic and perfect weather.

We made camp in Padre Bay near the Cookie Jar. We took fuel with us mid week and ran up to mile 49 to Rainbow Bridge. The last ten miles of the trek to Rainbow we didn’t see another boat on the lake. Thought about idling into Dangling Rope but there were some big rocks exposed at the entrance of the canyon so I passed on it. Oh and no filter on those night time pics. Crazy beautiful out.

This is the beach landing at Rainbow Bridge. Hike a little over a mile from here to get to the arch.

usually I just keep the phone in the boat and only turn it on to play music on our cruises but I was trying to be better about capturing photos to share here and with friends and family that live far away. (like @bk2drvr) No biggie it made for a quiet week.

Beach launch the lilly pad? haha no, I have a separate anchor for it I toss out away from shore and let it float around for the kids. just hadn't set it up at this point.

I left Friday but my buddy took his houseboat back on Saturday and he said it was pretty windy. He had to pull his boat off the sand with the houseboat in the morning. Other than Saturdays wind on the return the midweek weather couldn’t have been better.

I remember seeing you guys on that sandy point in Gunsight Bay. We hung out in there for several hours on Tuesday. The canyon was pretty full with houseboats.

I know!!! It was insane. Wasn't our ideal spot but we wanted to go easy on my father in laws pocket book if he was going to bring out his house boat. I thought I recognized you're pontoon from the pics. At least I remember seeing a black one cruising around.

Very nice 👌🏽 That looks like a little slice of heaven right there. My lady said she’d have no prob camping like that.
Well we're going back over the 4th of July for another 5-6 days I think. You're always welcome to come join us.

I need to figure out a better tent situation. I had a Coleman that believe it or not lasted me 2 seasons went through some epic wind storms and finally gave up the ghost. Since then I cant get my same model tent to last more than a trip. I'm eyeballing one of those Kodiak ten person setups.

@Marios Metalworks I know you tent camp. If there's any other inmates that tent camp here's is a sleeping pad that I've heard is amazing.

If you're a hunter or outdoorsman and know about the YouTube channel The Mountain Project I am friends with a couple of those guys and they turned me on to these and they love them.

These are taken as you go into west cove. If you didn't know now you might be able to put two and two together. Pretty cool formation and awesome beach to enjoy it.

Our oldest did some fishing with grandpa and caught herself a catfish!

Doing something on the beach with my youngest.

I could do it myself I'm just over it. It's more out of my wife's comfort but I reap the benefits of her comforts. 😁

Weather has been great this week for sure! It’s 68 on my deck right now at 8:30 am. Got a sprinkle up here last night too. I just wish either GC brewery or the dam bar would get a hazy ipa on tap, all the out of towners keep gobbling it all up.

Not directly on Powell as we are located about 60 miles North of Bullfrog marina, but the weather here is epic right now. Some afternoon showers to keep the dust down, low wind, sunshine, high 80s to low 90s, perfect for sxs riding, 4 wheeling and our guests just hanging by their campsites drinking coffee in morning and cocktails in the evenings.

Mid 80s is too hot without shade, but once you have some shade and the ability to escape into some AC for a little and shower off the weather here is perfect right now.

@Nanu/Nanu we’re running standard twin blow up mattresses right now. Basically blow them up in the boat with an electric pump and toss them in the tent. If I didn’t have an abundance of space/spare weight up in the bow I’d def be running a pad like that.

We're on the same program as well.

So from what I understand the double size weighs and is the size of one large single thermorest. That's what is appealing to me. I haven't seen it I'll see if my buddy could send pics.

When it is rolled up in it's storage bag it is the size of a large thermorest bag.

Wow, this brings up great memories. We camped at Cookie Jar one year & I saw Camel Rock in a picture above which we camped pretty much right up against the Camel but now it's a hike. Love that place.
