When I worked at UPS in college we used to send Las Vegas, NM packages down the belt to test the sorters on getting it down the right shoot.

Most failed with the package going west as opposed to east. Common oops.

Am I lying? I didn’t say anything about the people… if they want to be surrounded by bums and shanty towns, have at it. Everyone on here laughs at California for their bum problem, and I saw wayyyyyy more just pulling off for gas than I ever saw in Orange County. My wife would legit not get out of the car lol

Too much work. We were trying to make numbers for more pay.

I was always shocked at how many packages went from Tucson to Las Vegas NM every night.

Bonus pay was based on productivity and accuracy. 13.70 an hour base for part time in 1981.

Just an interesting fact I learned a few months ago about all the sewer water and drainage water that leaves the city of Las Vegas Nevada. 100% of the sewer water and drainage water is recycled clean and put into Lake Mead. The technology is that good and makes it that clean now.
