Thinking of heading to So Cal around the holidays and may want to stop/spend the night in Laughlin (coming from Boise, ID) I've done this in the past -Pre Covid 19 and am wondering what the town is like these days...I know the demise of the Colorado Belle which is a shame, we stay at the Aquarius (and prior was the Hilton flamingo) are other casinos having financial problems?

So I'm wondering how gambling is during these trying times...I love table games, and of course, a slot has my name on it too... then of course, the restaurants...are all buffets closed? and if they are open, do we dare risk the chance of Covid infection... we (wife and I) are NOT high risk but still....."Should I stay or should I go" ?

Buffett's are a thing of the past. I went to the Tropicana last week. We haven't been to the casino's since February ( I live nearby) masks are required. I played poker at the bar. The wife lost $300 in about ten minutes so we left. The other casino's seem to be busy.

It is the same but different😊
My SIL recently won a nice little sum on one of the video/slot games. It's hit/miss like gambling always is. Buffets are not operating.
Masks are required indoors.
Restaurants are operating but it is advisable to make reservation if it's a popular place.
Tropicana is now part of the Ceasars Rewards program.

We went up to Laughlin a month ago and I was walking around with a beer And was told that I need to wear my mask when I wasn’t actually drinking /sipping my beer.
my mask was pulled down under my chin.... it was time to go back to havasu after that

Last month we had free rooms at the Sunset Station. When I came back from Costco the wife said she got told about her low mask while playing video keno. we went home that night. Didn’t even mess the bed up.

I was in Laughlin in July. Stayed at Aquarius.

Masks required to walk around inside casino (including the elevators which they had setup to be more frequent, recommended non-related guests wait for others for spacing)
Buffet dining is gone.
Regular table dining inside is ok, they space you out.
Gambling is open, but they space you out and dont open everything up to keep that spacing (ie craps tables, they had like three of them and only one was ever open, and they only allowed half the usual capacity for spacing).

You didnt have to wear a mask outside, some did.

Masks are required inside. They run the risk of shutting down if they don’t enforce it. Gaming board as well looks at surveillance cameras. So not entirely the casinos fault they have a lot at stake.

I see their point but we chose to leave. I figured the money I didn’t put into the video poker bar at the Sunset paid for my new Iphone. :D

Masks are currently required in any public place including standing on the sidewalk in the state of Nevada. Probably because of that I casinos are open and staying open and we’re getting some shows back.

Open the damn buffet's up! I've said before and will say it again. Either the fucking mask work or they dont. I mean we all keep being told they work so great, right? If so then open up the whole fucking country and let's get a move on.

Yeah that mask thing is a pain when your drinking but you get used it.

We went last month stayed at riverside. We had dinner at the ranch steak house at the harris one night and it was dam good.

Other than the masks and the table games only having 3 seats its pretty normal.

The black jack tables are almost all single deck. The nice part though about the 3 seats only is you can play 2 spots without the normal doubleing the table min. So the 1st night I won money twice as fast. The 2nd might I lost money twice as fast lol.

We had a good time I still really enjoyed out time and most of the Riverside staff were in good spirits and even though they had to remind people to wear the masks we were polite about it.

Get used to wearing the lame masks out there. Nevada is fn strict on that shit. I was in vegas standing by a blackjack table drinking a beer. Pulled down the mask to take a drink.... finished the drink and had the fn mask police jumping all over me to pull it back up. I was like I just fucking took a drink.. jesus christ!!!

The mask thing is fucked . I feel the games are really tight . Room rates are going up to combat the dirt bag ass holes . If you can avoid the casino area i would .

Good to know the town is still up and running. There is somthing about the river in the "winter" months, has a peaceful, serine feel about it. Unless somthing changes (for the worse) like murder hornets and Covid killing everyone, I'll wear the mask, stay away from people , which is not hard for me and try and enjoy my stay. I am kinda freaked about the hotel room though...i wonder how well they REALLY clean them... BTW... thanks for the feed back,
