Let's step away from all the negativity, renew our minds with something positive and take a hike in this "Great Country of Ours". Instead of watching something meaningless on TV this Thanksgiving, lace up your hiking boots, top up that camelbak, grab your favorite snack and enjoy the show...

Yep. That is my stress relief as well.

Well, actually doing it. Not just watching it on TV. 😉

I could really use a head douche, I've been in such a pissy mood bordering anger & depression for months now.

Yosemite is Beautiful this time of year. No crowds to deal with, snow at the upper levels.

It's a good place to douche. 😁

I've been to many of the National Parks in the video. I have been blessed by their beauty in so many ways it's an experience that will be with me forever. Although it's just a video it's nice to bring back some of those Great Memories and for those that haven't been I thought I'd share something special...

We've visited 4 of our beautiful national parks in the past 4 months and completed some epic hikes. However, you don't have to visit a park to go on a hike. Even a regular morning walk will do wonders for your soul. Get outside!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Arches National Park is a favorite for many, one of the reasons is the easy accessibility to get to many of scenic treasures. In many cases you can get out of the car, take a short walk and your there.

One of natures finest moments is known as Alpenglow, the rosy light of the setting or rising sun seen on high mountains. This short window (10 - 15 minutes) of opportunity can literally be seen in our own backyards, like the San Gabriel Mountains for example. Here's a couple examples taken in Arches NP.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury but many parks and the beauty they posses can simply been seen the moment you get out of your car. Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, and Arches National Parks are a great examples. Here's a pic with my son I took years ago. I told my son, someday were going to climb up half dome together, do to my own back injury I realized that day will never come. On a positive note: I can still go and see some of Gods Glorious Creations it just has to be done at a much easier capacity...

Is walking from Foxes to Sundance and back to watch the Outlaw Nationals considered a hike?

Either way I sure feel better about my fellow man after my "hike." :)

Back in the day (early 80's) we use to swim from Echo to Sundance and back, young, dumb and you know the rest...

That brings back some very fond memories. Never did any hiking, but sure got some exercise spending many evenings in the backseat.

Cheers, Steve

Back in my youth we use to trout fish the steams up in the San Gabriel's. You had to do some hiking but getting to a spot where the people were few was a huge bonus. Barb-less hooks, catch and release was the norm in the area but it always got me out of the house. The fishing wasn't stellar by any means it simply filled the void when I wasn't in Duck Creek Village...
