The theme is "Light Up The Night!" and that's exactly what the public can expect in the sky over SARA Park tonight at the 19th Western Winter Blast. A 20 to 30 minute fireworks display, put on by Aaron Enzer of ACE Pyrotechnics, will be the highlight of the four-day convention organized by the Western Pyrotechnic Association.

The show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m., and while the fireworks display is free, on-site parking will cost $5. The convention, which began Thursday, features a trade show with various pyrotechnic classes, symposiums, and workshops for association members. Aside from tonight's featured fireworks show, there's also "open shooting" by members each night starting at 5 p.m., which the public also can watch.

The 19th Western Winter Blast concludes Sunday. Those planning on going to SARA Park, located south of the city off State Route 95, for tonight's fireworks are reminded that no parking will be allowed along the highway. Alcohol, pop-up tents, shades and grills will not be allowed in the park, and RV's also are banned.
