You can still meet them,, in a way of sorts:

I got to meet a few of the still living Little Rascals characters at a Laurel and Hardy fan club meet called "The Son of the Desert" about 20 years ago.

"Butch", "Worm", and "Mary" and some of the actors that played villians in the series were there and all gave talks.
Very interesting.

Hal Roach, the creator of both Little Rascals and Laurel and Hardy was there too.
He was 100 years old and got around like he was much younger.

LOL... I'm not sure if I'll ever own another Pit (largely becuase of the press, nothing to do with the dog), but if I did.. That'd probably be the one! :D

Those were great cartoons.
Can you even imagine the PC war a simple, harmless cartoon like that would cause in our world if it hit the airwaves today? it really does point out another undeniable truth of life.
We could shut down every lawyer school in the country for 10 years, and not a single bad thing would happen out here in the real world.
