All Clear she said 👍
Thank God! So happy to hear your daughter is safe.

I remember how terrified I was when I heard there was an active shooter at a high school in Santa Clarita (2019 I think), my daughter was a student at Hart High at the time. A little while later we heard it was Saugus High, but it was agonizing not knowing and not being able to do anything about it. Sadly a couple of kids were killed. Gave my kid the biggest hug when I saw her.

We were sheltered on place with no knowledge until my FIL called our shop. He saw it on the news. This was during the Willy Woods ordeal

A swatting call, really?
That’s what I was just told by my wife. Her ex is an ex LEO said it was a hoax.
Pretty crazy if true.
What worries me is if someone does this to see the response, time of response, how entry is made/gained and.... by LEO, basically homework and research

Glad everything worked out all clear. I was literally there today all over that campus from 4am to 2pm.
Mainly in mechanical rooms. That place has so many halls, rooms, and floors. Good job sbcsd getting it cleared floor by floor!

What a freaking waste of valuable resources.
I was there. Dont look at it as a waste of resources. It was a good training opportunity in something that we dont train in nearly enough and to do it with our neighboring agencies. As a crew, we did an informal after action review and we all had take aways. Thankfully, it wasn’t a real attack like the December 2, 2015 event.
Oh and I learned my ballistic vest needs to be adjusted for my winter weight 😁

If you can look at it that way, that’s great. And thank you for being there.👍🏻

what worries me is the crazy shit someone could do on the other side of the city 10-15 minutes after they make that distraction call. It wouldn't get the same response as fast with all that personel out on foot

That happened in The LBC a lot in early 2000's and that was before modern day swatting.

Glad everything turned out OK! Scary Shit right there

Was your daughter working in the new building at the Hospital? We finished all the tile in there a few years ago.

Not sure. Just know it was the ER
Glad it worked out the way it did. Her being in the ER, the first thing I worried about was this: In a mass casualty event anywhere on the campus, trauma victims would be brought there. Although they are an extremely capable unit, the added stress of the unknown turns it into a war zone type establishment. No one needs any added stress in an already stressful environment.

A peaceable ending from what became a massive training exercise.
