I have a rotating assembly that was finished up today at the balance shop in Long Beach. Anyone coming this way who has room for crank, rods and pistons, all in clean boxes? Also a damper and flywheel, I forget if they are boxed.

This is for a ski race engine for a Schiada, the owner wants to be racing it March 1st here in Parker. My normal transport is not due to come up until the weekend of the 14th. It would be nice to have some extra days to make sure it's right, and gets a little test and break in time before the races.

If you can get it to West Covina by Friday morning I can bring it out then.

Thanks, think I have my neighbor coming out next week, was trying to get a head start on it to make sure it will be running. I already know the Bowtie block takes different cam bearings that I don't keep in stock, and for sure will need different pushrods, he had some GM iron heads before.

I live in cypress and I’m going to havasu on Friday of that helps
Do you go via Parker? Actually the engine owner is in Havasu, that would be fantastic if you would be able to grab the stuff. It's on Cherry Ave, below the 91.

If Larry doesn't have room and needs to get it out of his shop, he's 5 minutes away and I can pick up whenever if need be....or if the ride you find needs to pick the stuff up outside of business hours....lemme know.

Thanks, you are right there in Long Beach, correct? I am trying to keep it simple. I am sure he has enough room, let me see if someone needs to pick up after hours.

Thanks for that!

Yeah, about 2 miles south of Revco

Edit: I'm headed to Elsinore on Thursday morning....if I can drop it off anywhere along the way (91-15S) I can do that

I’m gonna be in Long Beach this morning, and headed to Salome this afternoon. If you’ve got a guy out there that can run it over to me, and then you meet me out off the 10, I can do it. I’m in my Peterbilt pulling trailer picking up in Long Beach at the port, near the queen mary.

Thanks very much. Scott picked it up for me this morning, I forgot to get back here and say it's handled.

Thanks Scott. I will give you Brett's contact info in Havasu and look forward to having you stop by during the races.

Barry:
If you are having trouble sourcing the right length push rods I might be able to help. Once you determine what you need with your head/rocker combo, if you don’t have what you need shoot me a pm and I’ll check what I’ve got handy. I have several different length, they are all GM, Howard’s or Comp Cams.

Thanks, the block was decked about .050" to take care of damage, but in addition to that it's getting different heads. I just figure and measuring and buying what we need. Do you have a shop? I have wholesale accounts a couple of places.

Off topic, do you have a house on Jamaica in Havasu, your avatar looks like a mailbox on Jamaica .

No not a shop I just build engines as a hobby and have lots of spare parts. My thought was that it’s sometimes difficult to source specific length pushrods on a moments notice and since you are under the gun time wise I might have what you need. If I have the right size and you need them you are welcome to them, just replace them when you can.

Thanks, very kind of you. I normally can get various sized pushrods to me within two days. Got a 565 to finish up in the next few days, plus running a SBC dirt track race engine so it will leave this weekend, then full time on the 572 ski race deal. Couple month delay on getting the pistons has put me behind the 8 ball on that one, but I can do it!
