As some know I sold the Howard, and the Havasu house... In some regards I pulled a Shinto. We made some big moves, but it worked out for the best. We finally got the new house remodled so its time to move our furniture from our storage unit in Havasu to our house in Los Angeles. Anyone have any recomendations?

Ive used all the big ones and a couple of the small ones - the one thing I would say is be worried about the estimates.

Beside the fact that Gordon movers stole all my wife’s jewelry the only problem Ive had is when the estimated fees don’t cover the work - the driver (usually truck owner) knows what the job is paying. If he gets to that time of day when the load isnt done he asks for more money or leaves - loaded or not. Ifs it’s at the other end - they may not bring into the house but just off load and leave.

Be sure you and the driver are on the same page.

I’ve done 14 moves - I speak from experience.

we have always lived in Cali, just sold the vacation house in Havasu. When I retire we plane on going inland a bit. Wyoming is looking good, and some parts of Idaho. Anways that is a long long ways away.

You might be the only one moving from Freedom to Communism, lol.

Personally every time I have hired movers (3 times) they have stolen my shit that they could cash in at the Pawn Shop. Never again! I would just move it yourself and save the cash. Your going to need it to pay for Gavin's Socialist Utopia, lmao. Good Luck

Smooth moving Havasu very professional

another vote for Smooth Moving, We used them last year just to load the 26’ uhaul after packing Step Moms items. They were very professional and used every square inch of the Box to fit everything. Took extra care and nothing shifted when we drove it to San Diego.
I remember talking with the guy and he does out of state moves. Might be worth a call.

If it's not a heirloom sell it or donate it . Everything the movers touched ended up scratched , dented or didn't fit like I thought it would . Good luck !

Our last move we rented a truck and hired guys at each end to load then different crew to unload. Uhaul site has links to local labor
