Hello ,I got a 1971 20.5 ft Campbell cruiser.
I bought it all tore apart, and I'm re glassing the bulkhead , stringers to the transom and hull.
I'am looking for a photo of the original floor layout.
All that came with this boat was two 6ft by 2ft 3/4" plywood and many smaller pieces of plywood.
Any photos would help, i just want to put this cruiser back to it's original look.
Thank you,PJ

Ours is a 1969, so this would give you some kind of an idea, we don't have jump seats at the transom

Sweet, You must have belly fuel tanks, Your seating is the same.
my 71 has 25 gallon saddle tanks, and will have to be mounted on the hull, they are 21" high.
So either frame around the tanks, or sell the 25 gal tanks and get tanks that fit to the floor.
your floor layout is what I had visioned.
I'am still glassing and sealing phase,
thanks , PJ

Belly tanks is the way to go, is the original set up and I have tuck and roll side panels that have a oval cut out so things can be stored.
saddle tanks would take up that space.

Finally got the Glass work done , The floor pieces that came with the boat have a very strange fit. LOL
It has a space in the middle for the bench seat, Ends do not meet even,I'm lining up screw holes, but it just doesn't look right.
I have to buy new plywood any way, guess it's back to the drawing board. and install
Angle aluminum to the stringers so floor can attach to them.
LOL

The center bilge area on our 20' is open under the bench seat. I'd make new floor sections so it's solid again. The 20' secures to the top of the stringers with screws and the 24' has angle aluminum that will get rivet nuts to hold the floor down

Thank you Nailhead, A picture is worth a thousand words.
Rivet nuts are a Slick way, i was going to use Angle alum ,
after all that glass work , I'm not messing with the top of those stringers. LOL
Nice place for the Batteries, My set up has the V-drive there,
How tall are your tanks, 7" with a 2" gap??
I'm having my belly tanks made 7" H X 13.5" W X 84" L
I was going to insert the sender unit in the middle, But was thinking of having them at the rear, If i have them in the middle it would give me warning early to get some fuel, And have some sort of Reserve.
Is that your Filler neck or 3" vent hose?
I have all three Hoses together at the front
Thanks for Sharing, PJ

Hey Nailhead, what and where did you get your floor material?
I'm getting closer, just waiting for tanks and a 454.

Found it thru Amazon. Just a foam marine floor covering. On a side note, the guy you bought this boat from just bought one of my race hulls today.
Exactly, teak looking foam flooring.

I'll be dammed, I didn't think foam would be hard enough for a floor.
It is nice looking.
I'm getting my two 26 gallon gas tanks made from ocean link , 483 each. Good price.
the side note, I just went to his house friday to get a Cav plate handle rod connector.
I asked him if he had any more 454 parts, Water pump, starter, timimg chain cover ECT
He said he was going to hang on to them .
now I know why. LOL

Its gona be a while for my gas tanks, Can't really do much more without the tanks and Engine.
I got the angle aluminum bolted in ready for the floor.
I like that teak looking foam flooring, hopefully the glue will hold it down.

I may have to rip the floor in half, the middle stringer is 1/4" high.
With the plywood epoxy it will not flex, Guess thats why the floor that came out was ripped in two pieces.
The engine cover will have to be raised up to clear the 6" hurricane intake, and carb scoop.

the floor is done except for the center, I haven't decided if it will be oval raised or squared off for tranny.
all the seats are done except final adjustments.
All the final adjustments will be done after Cav plate and engine is instaled.
Cav plate first, then I'll have to wait till after my hip replacement march or april.
the engine is all flushed and sealed awaiting for march, Hopefully sooner.
