What do you want to spend? You want over the top museum quality? Ten footer with driver paint? Roadster, coupe, family wagon? Thousand plus ponies?

I've looked at both of those boats. The first one is certainly worth considering. Not really interested in a outboard.

I visited Billy yesterday and saw the blue 22, impressive boat.

That's an awesome boat there Wheeler. Who's is that?

Don't approach him if seen on the streets, he's known to bite (a pillow fetish from his Jet Bote' days) but considered harmless in some circles. o_O

Please call the number below if you see him.

I contacted the seller of that boat, he confirmed it was still available but provided no other information.

FYI - That boat was originally built for Parnelli Jones. It was named "New Blue". It has seen a few owners and motor changes through the years. The transom has a third exhaust hole because the first twin turbo motor made a bunch of boost and instead of diverting it back to the tail pipes they made a separate wet pipe from the waste gate. I always liked that boat.

I happened to swerve into that ad while looking for a Schiada myself. It's pretty close to what I am looking for but not quite it.

I will buy it, when it presents itself. Has not become available yet.

what I am looking for....
Must be 1987 or newer. (For title reasons in my home state of NY) Blue & white, No reds, yellows or greens. V-drive, 10" manual cav plates, 8.5 degrees strut angle, real, genuine rub rail not capped. Blown/TT are ok, but not required.

You mean 7.5 degree strut angle....

I have no idea what the best strut angle is. I have read where the angle was higher for lower power, and less angle for high power.

If 7.5 degrees the the optimal, I will use that as the baseline in evaluating anything that I am considering buying. I would like for it to be the best all around compromise for power and speed. I don't desire to go more than 85-90 mph.

My dad may be putting his up for sale soon. Not sure what he’s going to ask for it, but just going off of what these other guys think theirs are worth, I would say somewhere around the $1million mark! LOL

I don't want to take anything away from that boat, it is beautiful and I know hat it takes to re-do one of these things, but, where does it top out? I guess I'm just a little jealous that it is out of my reach.

I’m kidding about the $1million thing. It just makes me laugh what some of these people think their boats are worth.

I understood where you were coming from in your comment. I also understand the cost of custom rigging, motor packages and such, but boat prices in general are taking the "average" Joe that wants to have something "nice" out of the game. As long as the demand stays strong for new 6 digit boats the resale market will stay strong.

To get this thread back on track, a 1979 21' RC with 468 Dunsmore TT just showed up in Facebook Marketplace. It's in Parker. $35K I believe.

This is the one I saw on the Facebook Schiada forum. Probably the Best Buy out there right now. Looks real nice and clean.

You picked it up? That’s a long damn ways from NorCal.
No. The seller is a buddy if mine. I was really Interested in it but I knew how much work was needed to make it what I wanted and we couldn’t come together on the price. I’ll find one eventually!!
