The last thing I would ever want is a used anything with expensive batteries.

Look for a Prius instead. I had a 2013 for a minute; got 40 mpg when I drove like an asshole<<<insert obligatory Prius driver joke>>>and almost 50 when I tried to finesse it. Bought it for $6500, and sold it for around the same thing 2 years later.

The Volt looks much better, but I believe the Prius is (or feels at least) much bigger inside.

Have you not heard lately…
All Chevrolet Volt electric vehicles are now recalled due to the risk of the high-voltage battery pack catching fire. True!!!
I think that’s bolts. My 2012 volt is probably one of the Best Buy’s I’ve ever made. Love that little car I don’t remember 5 or 6k. Perfect I’m actually looking for another for the wife. Carfax is where I look

Your in luck, I just sent the check off for mine to buy it out since the lease is up. It’s a crimson red LT, leather Bose etc. 2018 so it’s the improved version and the new style. 55 miles electric / 300 miles gas, no issues st all, pretty cool car. Miles are high at 65k since it was our havasu commuter, I believe it should be around 19k. When the title arrives I’m going to have it fully detailed and put new tires on it for the 19k. Its in our garage in Anaheim hills so i can’t take a picture, I’ll look for some.

I like the flexibility of the Volt. Being able to manually switch from gas to electric is nice. If you commute within range of the electric capabilities it’s an added bonus.

You can’t go wrong with it.

My volt was a great car. 7 years and 90k miles, did take it in for a few recalls but other than that just scheduled oil changes and tires.

My lease is due in about 3 weeks but it’s been such a good commuter car, I think I’m going to buy it out. Solid car in my opinion. Good luck!
