whats the link or feed that the announcers are following? curious if about the water conditions to run a 18' Flat, SS-K but want to ask Bob Teague to talk about it. I'm on the youtube channel for viper communications but having issues. maybe a cell number for Bob to maybe talk about. I think it'd fun as hell to run this in a flat.

Thought they said this morning it is 22' and over, Nordic wanted to bring their 21' ski race boat and they were told no. They are going to build a 22' just for this shootout.

Anyone been there? I'm wondering how a SS-K Flat would do (thinking i'd like to take mine, maybe next year) Just curious how the water truly is, hard to tell on a video.

Is there any word on American Ethanol's protest? Besides their DQ'd run at 217 does the 36 Skater have the fasted pass of the day @192?

Tony ran a good number and maybe I'm way off here but I thought that M35 with 1550's should've ran 180, no?

The water sucked, breeze in wrong direction, and humidity was shit but I still thought that power was better than what it showed today.

So is some rich old dude going to throw his plastic ass wife in a boat as the "driver" with John Tomlison throttling so she can be called Queen of the shootout? :rolleyes oh wait, that was last year. ;)

This coverage is 500 times better than years past. The YouTube stream is awesome. Loving just sitting on couch and watching it like a football game.

Big Improvement from last year.

Huge props to speedboat mag Instagram. They basically have every run on there. I've been using those links to bring friends in the loop all day.

Anyone have any news on the V driver who crashed?

I was kinda thinking the same thing.

I guess the rules have been in place a long time but I'll bet a 50 mph running start would help the big boats a lot.

Low Altitude needs a welded fuel pump for one of the turbines. Sounds like they are out unless they can find one.

When they interviewed Tony at the docks, before the run, he said they were looking for a mid-170s run, so I guess they were factoring in the water conditions, idk? But that same boat recently ran 180mph at Elsinore & that was a very short run, so it got up to speed extremely fast. Also, there was a 368 Skater 'Top Cat' with big PSI blowers that I thought was going to run 180+ but only went like 168ish. One thing I've noticed on the M-series DCBs is how straight & solid they run in the shootout. No weird slides or porpoise etc.... Just straight as an arrow down the course at 160-170+mph.....:thumbsup
I was talking to Joe {Oldschoolboats) boats last night and was saying the same thing. The DCBs may not have as much tunnel compression or run as quick as similar powered Skater, bit damn the run fast enough and they are rock solid and stabile. They don't do anything funny at 170.

This Show is professionally done well enough to go Prime Network. Perfect for entertaining purposes.
They keep the boats flowing, keep the conversation going well and it displays the large crowd having a great time.

Hard to do a "Live" Boat show like this and keep the crowds attention. Well done, JMHO.

Low Altitude was dancing around quite a bit, tough to get a big number like that.
