It is hard to give tips. My son with all those screens of info will watch and buy upswing and sell within hours. He has triggers set to inform him when things change. There is no way to share that info in that time frame.

In all honesty when I’m trading options it’s too fast to give tips. By the time it’s takes to type this post in could have already missed my window. With options I’m watching the minute charts and it happens fast. As far as crypto I don’t really trade it like that. I just hold what I have. I can tell you what tickers I’m looking at. What levels I’m watching for and the high way I’m betting but I couldn’t really tell you when to jump in or out. That’s on you. I’ve had days were im at work and get busy for a few minutes and look back at my screens and I’m hosed. I feel like to really make money it’s more like a job than a hobby

I understand all that completely. I need to start taking this serious. There's just too much quick easy money to be made on these coins. If I'm going to blow money on boating I might as well blow some in here on the crypto stuff. What is your favorite platforms to use? I have an account on uphold and one on crypto.

With all due respect to those who’ve gotten rich off crypto, it still feels like buying a lottery ticket. I don’t understand where crypto has actual value beyond what gamblers are will to pay right now. Reminds me of things like the tulip buyers centuries ago. I’m just a boring, slow and steady investor in SP500 index but it keeps ticking up and my net worth keeps doubling about every 7-8 years. I respect Warren Buffett a lot and he said “In terms of cryptocurrencies, generally, I can say with almost certainty that they will come to a bad ending.” But happy for those who cash in any winning lottery ticket!

The first time I ever heard of crypto was people using Bitcoin to buy steroids and boner pills. It’s come a long ways 😂😂

Yeah, I would never put all my eggs in that basket.
But at 62 yo I really don’t have time to double every 8 years.
So I decided to branch out and roll the dice just a little bit.
The reality is that 100% digital currency IS the future. Maybe not before I die, maybe earlier, but it will happen.
If I’m wrong it won’t change my life, but if I’m right it will give me comfort in retirement.
But so far it’s given me most of a house down payment and 2 small lump sum principal payments.
Not all crypto is created equal.
Some are actual functioning measurements of dollar values, and accepted as tender, some are not.
I have yet to cash any winning lottery tickets, but I’m happy making a little money!😎😎👍

With your knowledge of Havasu and your Real Estate business why even bother with stocks or crypto.

Use your capital to buy and sell properties. Atleast if that shit goes sideways you have a physical asset.

I dont know shit about crypto...but, its my understanding Bitcoin is scheduled to "halving" near the end of April. I've learned (like this week), that the expectation is that the halving will lead to an increase in price because the supply will become constrained. Historically, after Bitcoin halving the price has run up to surpass all-time highs. People say this may not be expected until 2025 though. However, because of this news people are trying to get in early and the price is already near all-time highs. With the halving coming up and the introduction of bitcoin ETF's, I believe that is what is currently driving the current bull market. If you dont want a crypto wallet you can buy ETF's through normal financial institutes. Look at GBTC, its up 56% in the last month.
Someone can correct me if I am wrong. Like I said, I dont know shit and am always behind the curve.

You've mentioned you made two large mortgage payments. I'm curious, why would you do that? Assuming you have a decent rate, why not put the money to work? With little effort, you could achieve a higher return on that cash, even if you had a current rate mortgage of 6-7%. It's rather easy to get 10-15% returns right now. More if you want to work on finding harder-to-get opportunities.

You didn’t read his post correctly. He isn’t making payments. He put a down and did some lump sum principle payments.

When you near retirement it would be very wise to take your gambling money aka crypto earning and get your home payed off.

I’m sure he has other investments that are long term.

Your idea of taking that money and making it work for you is not bad. But if your close to retirement and the market shits the bed he still has a house payment to figure out.

Payed off house is big peace of mind in my opinion.

Diversification....it's a good thing.
The (havasu) r.e. bubble won't last forever. Having the resources he has now, invested in emerging markets like AI and many others could yield significant returns to help offset the bubble burst.

No, they were not “large”, at least not by RDP baller standards. lol

But with my mortgage, even a small lump sum principle knocks YEARS off the life.
An extra principle only payment on mine knocks off about 5x in interest whatever the lump sum is over the life. That’s a pretty good investment I think?
But moreover, it sets me up a lot better in the short run to restructure if and when interest rates drop enough to warrant it.

He’s been holding Trump coin since August. Bought $30,000 worth and now worth over $4M in less than 7 months.

$Jesus coin is heading to the moon he thinks.
Update: same buddy just quit his job at salesforce and is retiring after just turning 30 with about $28,000,000 between his wallets. He’s celebrating by buying a 2025 Escalade V.

"Online star Hawk Tuah girl faces crypto coin criticism

8c262640-b3ce-11ef-87f9-6b7b7249ee9c.jpg.webp

Haliey Welch, known mostly as the star of the viral "Hawk Tuah" meme, is facing criticism after her newly launched cryptocurrency nosedived in value.
Her "Hawk" digital coin hit a $490m market cap shortly after it launched on Wednesday, before suddenly losing more than 95% of its value within hours.
This has led some, including YouTube cryptocurrency investigator Coffeezilla, to accuse Ms Welch of scamming investors with a "pump and dump" - where the people behind a coin hype up its price before launch, then sell it for profit.
She has denied allegations that her team sold any of the tokens they owned.

The BBC has approached Ms Welch's representatives for comment.
"Team hasn't sold one token," she wrote in a copy and pasted post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
She added that no "KOL" (key opinion leaders) were gifted a free token.
Ms Welch had previously distributed free Hawk tokens to some fans ahead of the launch across social media.
Hawk launched on the Solana blockchain at around 22:00 GMT on Wednesday, and its market capitalisation soared to highs of $490m shortly after.
However it fell sharply from this high to around $60m just 20 minutes later.
Fans and investors have accused Ms Welch and her team of "misleading" and "betraying" them and suggested the launch had been a "rug pull" - where promoters of a cryptocurrency draw in buyers, only to stop trading activity and make off with money raised from sales.
A community note on Ms Welch's X post contests her explanation, saying her team had been selling their Hawk coins since launch.

Scam allegations

Coffeezilla, real name Stephen Findeisen, also claimed that Hawk gave "insiders" an advantage.
"Unfortunately with situations like this, they're not targeting crypto bros, they're mostly targeting actual fans who have never been involved in the crypto space before," he said in a video viewed more than 1.4 million times.
He accused Ms Welch's team of "profiting from a rug pull".
"These people were unwilling to take any accountability" of the "Hawk Tuah scam", he claimed, after sharing a clip of him speaking to some of the people behind the cryptocurrency.
Ms Welch's post on X claimed that her team attempted to prevent so-called "snipers", who buy and sell cryptocurrencies quickly at moments when they are likely to make the most money from a gap in buy and sell price - sometimes using automated trading tools - by imposing higher fees on one exchange.
The team behind the cryptocurrency, OverHere, has dismissed other claims about the launch in an X post.
It stressed that "Haliey's Team has sold absolutely no tokens whatsoever".
Meme coins such as this have been booming in popularity due to their jokey, cheap appeal for investors.
They are often viewed as being less risky than more high profile crypto assets like Bitcoin or Ethereum, but carry the same dangers - with often no protection for those who lose money on them.
Carol Alexander, professor of finance at Sussex University, told the BBC on Thursday that while more young people are investing in meme coins, many of them are losing money.
Several celebrities or influencers who have ventured into the crypto market have faced similar backlashes.
In 2021, Kim Kardashian was fined $1.26m by US regulators after she failed to disclose that she had been paid to post an advert for a cryptocurrency scheme called EthereumMax.
More recently, YouTuber Logan Paul was accused of misleading fans by promoting crypto coins or investments without divulging his own financial interest in them.

Who is 'Hawk Tuah Girl' Haliey Welch?

Known online as the "Hawk Tuah girl", Ms Welch went viral after speaking the onomatopoeia "hawk tuah" - imitating the sound of someone spitting - during an interview in June.
It made the 22-year-old, from Belfast, Tennessee, an overnight internet sensation.
She amassed hundreds of thousands of followers across various social platforms and launched her own merchandise and a podcast called "Talk Tuah". " - BBC

My ship came in once and I was at the airport waiting for my jet to be fueled. If true I love it. Making money is the easiest thing. It's all about being in the right place at the right time and being able to see what's right in front of you.

So....whats the best place to open an account? Crypto.com

The other thing is to make sure you hold the key or wallet (off computer) and not have someone hold on to it for you, correct?

I could give it a long shot with small funds. Better than dropping coin at a bar...lol

If Google's claims about their new quantum chips are true, crypto and all encryption are in for a massive slap in the face. It's gonna be a wild ride.

They are claiming that it can process in 5 minutes what would take the world's current fastest supercomputers 10 Septillion years (10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000)

This means they are within the realm of being able to brute force the block chains, both private keys and mining solutions, which up until now is one of the most secured systems in existence.

If the block chain can be brute forced it instantly becomes useless.

Oh and btw that also goes for all your CC transactions, private data etc etc etc.

Frogman if your buddy don’t cash out atleast half that he is a fool.

2 million makes the rest of his life much easier and will never have to worry about bills again even with just a modest income.

Let the rest ride for his to the moon or nothing philosophy
Damn what can I say @FROGMAN524 your buddy is crazy as fuck and it paid off. Congrats.

For every successful story there are thousands of failures which makes this win even more impressive.
