I love the layout. Really bad ass! But have they gotten an decent speeds out of them yet? What I heard is they barley break 100 with 450’s. I remember reading an article a year or two about a new light laminate schedule. Never heard what the boat ran. I’m not a guy who runs his boat all out all the time. But really nice to cruise at 90-100 most everywhere and not have the engines wrapped out.

I have no idea. Boats looks heavy so not sure if it’s for “speed”. I also can’t see it salt, just to purdy for that.

Kosker stopped making the 40. Didn’t get the top speed he wanted. Shooting for 125 like those in its class. Couldn’t get there.

He’s doing so well with CC’s I think he was like F it, I’m out.

However I still say, when you’re done playing around and want to go really fast, buy a mystic. Only boat designed and built by a naval architect to run over 200mph.

Their day starts at 250mph. 😁😁😉

Ya they are bad ass and love the designs. Just surprised with their “speed” pedigree they could not figure out/engineer this hull to run better with 450’s.

John’s an amazing architect and designer. He’s built a lot of really bitchen stuff and again is the only one to build an offshore boat specifically made to run over 200 (50 mystic). I don’t know why the 40 didn’t work like they wanted too. John’s a really good dude and pretty open when you talk to him. The 40 is bad ass though I will say that. Love the lines and the design / layout. I’d deal with not being the absolute fastest while enjoying the perks of it.

Totally agree! Bad ass designs and pedigree. Would love to drive one and check it out for half a day.

It’s a big bitch at 43’-10” and a 10’-11” beam. Pretty impressive that it can break 100mph with twin 450’s. I wonder if that is with or without the rear lounger.

They are beyond cool but it's a whole lot of boat to not have a stabin cabin.

That's the total legnth with engines. 38'6" running surface. Believe the M37R is 36'6", can't remember what the 390X is. I thought it was 38'6''ish. Both have 10'6" beams. Other two break way through a 100 without a sweat.

Would be interesting to learn the fully rigged weight & CG of each

The two 37R's I am familiar with have been in the 5750ish range fully rigged. 390x I was told are 6000lb. The Blue and Wright 420 that runs around the Ozarks is 6400lb and the owner said it runs 118. That 420 is a BIG boat!

It should be mentioned that the top speed thing isn't really as bad as it sounds. Cosker switched the layup to all carbon fiber and the new C4000's hits 120 plus with 450's. I think the original 40's were just heavier than the others in its class.

Sweet! remember reading an article saying they were going to try laying one up with Carbon but then never seen anymore about it. I just assumed it did not work. 120 is very respectable!
