Haven't heard much from or about Martinez marine interiors on here in a while, his websites are down, it seems he moved shops down to Temecula, and he's got a bunch of bad yelp reviews.

Really like his work and his style but super hesitant to ask for trouble taking my stuff to shops that are having issues.

Anybody got any recent feedback either way on these guys or any other shops you'd recomend that aren't 10k for a cockpit & hatch rebuild?

well I guess it's decided then ...STAY CLEAR!!!

I did call this morning and a rebuild last year was $3,500 now it's $7,000 to $8,000!! Those are Havasu prices!

Any other SoCal Marine guys doing a good job at a fair price?

Thanks

I know this guy, Renae,he works out of his house in riverside, doesn’t speak much English, but me and a buddy have had work done by him, great work far price, cash only. He was the guy at a boat place that I can’t remember the name in parris.

Yup that’s it, highly recommend, your going to think,” I’m not leaving my boat here” but he Locke’s it up beside the house behind a gate. I’m sure he has no insurance or anything like that,I don’t know, seems like he has a day job. But he knows this stuff, and the price is great. He fixed my hatch debacle that Martinez created. I built the frame for the raised portion, he just did the new final and pad, he redid a whole hatch on my buddy’s 21 Daytona, he left his boat there a week

Albert had just had his boat stolen lost his ass but got it back, not in one price but back.... anyway he’s just had some twin Whipple Teague motor Imco drive and steering gauges etc here he was 50k+ out of his pocket again, moral he left it with Renae and when he got it back from him (full interior build as only thing recovered with the boat was the bottom of rear seat) and Al was beyond ecstatic. I hope the fall of next year to have Renae do mine, if not it’ll be the following year

Howard, Rene did the eliminator?

Yes

This is Renaes work? Did the boat already have high backs or did he make new frames?

Yes he did it all, no seats existed when the boat was dropped off. The jack offs that stole the boat literally got it all, it was recovered, in what was believed to be its final trip.... to the desert as a bare hull to be burnt.

Renae literally started from scratch and built it all for Al

its very nice work but his designs are the same shapes, forms and contours that he used for the past 12 years. No matter what the boat brand that same exact design never changes. Just the colors. Not knocking the work nor the quality but the design / layout needs to vary. Again not knocking the work nor quality cause I could never do that nor come close for interior builds.
