A nice piece of nostalgia I found on a web page documenting the restoration of Mary Rife's Howard BFH, "Proud Mary". In 1975, Mario Andretti accepted an invitation to accompany Mary on a pass in her BFH at Long Beach Marine Stadium.

I was at marine stadium to see that run …was very cool to see, especially looking back on it all these years later

I read that KHJ Boss Jock Machine Gun Kelly also went for a ride...do you remember any details? I couldn't find much about it on the 'net.

I don't know any details either other than he went for a ride with Ed Hyder .... some kind of promotional deal for his radio show. I think Sharp Shooter on here posted an original flyer about that a few years ago.

The best man in my wedding and one of my oldest friends used to work with Mary as crew when we were in high school.

When we started our 3 to 4 wheel ATV conversion kit business in the 80s Mary and Carl gave us some seed money to buy shop equipment.

Great folks!

Too cool, some impressive stuff there, I probably bought a bunch of those magazines!!

I still have a BW 200 and 350 out back, probably a couple of the funnest campfire toys ever!

I remember the first time riding a 3 wheeler, I couldnt steer for shit, my buddy kept yelling "steer with the throttle" that was the trick, fun times!

I was just looking at a 250r a couple of weeks ago - they wanted 6K and it was in nice shape.

But heck I have enough toys ! Yes I said that😂
