Did over 200 miles on Powell this weekend. Twice I got a code on the Simrad for starboard engine knock sensor not working properly. To reset I killed the batteries and it went away. Anybody know where it’s located? Figure either the wire is loose or sensor is bad and hoping I can replace it myself.

The sensor location should be on the block water jacket, in between the motor mount and the starter, mounted on a stud. Use proper torque if replacing.

I’d check the entire circuit (both sides), and I believe there’s a 20 ohm resistor in there too that needs a good connection as well. My guess is it’s in the harness.
