I need your help.

What is your maximum RPM at WOT and with what prop with your Merc HP 525? What type of boat and conditions?

I am just trying to get a consensus for comparison.

Thanks in advance

I had twin 525's in a Daytona which is probably no help to you.

Also really depends on what gears you are running.

I ran 32p 5 blades with 1.36 gears at about 5350 rpms 114 mph.

It's for sale right now if you want it. And I own a Lifeline but for the life of me I can't remember who I loaned it out to.:(

Are you having more problems with your motor? Putting in a 525 now?

No it runs. Just calculating how much power it doesn’t have. Lol

The results were a bit disappointing.

I’m gonna have to figure out what to do on the off-season if anything

What pitch prop you able to turn? My River neighbor with a blown 25 Daytona ran a 34 Bravo 1. Other buddy 28 Bravo 1 with 525. Was hoping to see your boat out for Desert Storm.

What RPM are you getting?

5100-5200 with 30 pitch and 5400-5500 with a 28 pitch. Both 4 blade Merc props.

I was assuming I would have more RPM but it doesn't. From what I have heard and seen this is just a tad more then a 525 and less than 600

Do you have a rev limiter chip? Maybe that?

You mean like how it never ran the RPM number and leaked water internally from day one. And how I was forced to spend $17,000 of my money "fixing" a brand new motor because it blew up.

Or how since it still won't run the RPM number that I have to spend even MORE money making it run.........

Yup, I think you are right and we should probably keep that to ourselves.

;)

Very sorry to hear this. I won't say anything about the engine builder, last time I did that I got threatened with everyone having his back.:(

I will be the last to admit it but those new trolling motors are pretty damn capable.

Especially with the new V-8's coming out. One has to give them careful consideration.

Gone are the days of under powered trolling motors that emit enough noxious smoke to choke out every mosquito within a 3 block radius. These are the real deal now.

:D

Trolling post with a trolling motor!
