Was changing oil in my new Hallett realized the mercathode is not connect I found 3 wires to goto it red and the 2 wires from the out drive. But I have these 2 not sure we’re they go. Any one have a pic of how there’s is hooked up. From what I read 454/502 mags are the same.

From memory, red to battery un-switched + one (black) to ground (on the blue box) & one brown or orange to a terminal on the blue mercathode box. It has been a couple of years so check on this first and I will try to confirm with my picture library from my rebuild.

Your blue mercathode box has the wire color code scribed in just under the terminal nuts.....The one in your photo towards the stern of the boat says brown....The most forward one not seen in your photo should say/stand for Orange.... + = Red/12v while - = Black/ground.

If the trim up limit switch for the stern drive was to be working correctly then the Blue and White wire in your photo would normally be connected too but you'd need to find the Purple and White wire too...See the image below.
The gray wire would be for an external tachometer.
